Many of us here in the Twin States of New Hampshire and Bernie's Vermont find him to be spot on. Of course, being able to accurately assess the financial woes of the United States and actually do something to correct them is a different matter. Those of you who get out and vote have already learned that your vote carries little if any weight. Your vote SHOULD mean more than it does, but special interest groups, the huge impact of 'human' corporations and a Wall Street populated by greedy, self-serving greedy short-sighted greedy S.O.B s has made this proud country an indebted parody of its once magnificent self.
Sadly, Bernie has the chance of a snowball in Hell to get elected. Do your homework, search for the facts in places other than emotion-ridden Fox News and see what you come up with.

Buckminster Fuller designed a 'Dymaxion' house which rotated. It was featured in Life magazine around 1947 or so. All stainless steel as well.
Henry Ford had a car display at a late nineteen thirties worlds fair built on a huge cone shaped structure which had many cars resting on it. The whole affair floated on water contained in a round pool and rotated. A device similar to an outboard motor was all that was required to propel the display.

Here's one that baffles me. Bill Gates is seen as some sort or guru and highly generous person, right? He's purportedly worth over 3 1/2 billion yankee dollars. He and his wife dole out money to those that they see worthy of their largess and don't mind talking about it.
Did it ever occur to you that maybe he's ripping off the consumer big time? How in hell do you amass 3 1/2 BILLION dollars without screwing someone or some group?
Your replies may differ, but I'd sure like to hear them.

The administration that you are referring I think, was the Bush administration. Cheney, Rumsfeld and President Bush are the people that you might want to talk to about your rights and what's left of them.

Around the year 1988, can't remember the exact date, contractors were replacing the vertical and diagonal cables on the Brooklyn bridge. They also installed rollers beneath the saddles atop the towers which support the main cables. I knew nothing of this as I walked down to the bridge. I spoke to a foreman about taking pictures from a higher point of view. He told me to walk out on one of the beams which span the roadway. There was a net hung below , which I suppose would have prevented actually landing on a truck if one were to fall. I walked over to the other side as instructed and said that I still wasn't any higher. He saw that I handled the height issue okay and motioned me back to where he was standing. I said that I'd really like to go up on top and he paused for a moment and then said' follow me' We walked up one of the inner cables and then climbed a ladder onto the Brooklyn tower. The wind at 185 feet above the water was surprisingly strong, but did not prevent my taking a couple of rolls of film with my Nikon FM. The pictures lack the image quality of those that are taken from more traditional perspectives, but are significant just the same. Try duplicating this once-in-a-lifetime moment today! I think that the mere suggestion might get you in a heap of trouble!

There are a few truths in the vast world of Mankind. One is diversity. The challenge, as ever, is to accept our differences. To celebrate them, now there is the real challenge!

If you think that it is okay to shoot down those noisy, pesky things, then I guess the same solution to motorcycles with LOUD, and I might add , illegal, pipes is okay too.

Get on state highway 63 south of Jefferson City and wander south. Plenty of side roads to explore. Ozark streams: Jack's Fork, Eleven Point. Like little old German villages? Vienna, Herman, Westphalia, Dutzow. Caverns? Onandaga Caverns off of I-44 near Rolla. Onyx Mountain.
Unless you enjoy traffic jams and way too many people, avoid Branson, Lake of the Ozarks, I-70 corridor and lack-luster Merramec Caverns.
