been looking at you tube tutorials on the d7100&d7200 bodys only. bet some of you pro's will know if the d7200 is worth $300 more than the d7100 the differance at BH photo pricing between the two. thanks for all your responses. Chuck

Go for the D7200 if you can afford it. It is the 2nd best DX next to the D500. Last Black Friday, 2015. I missed out getting a new body only, D5500 at Best Buy for $500. They were gone in one day. Black Friday is coming up soon again. Wait until then and see what deals are out there. I expect the the D7300 will be out in a year or two.

Flying a camera drone in a Communist country where military and political secrecy, not to mention suspicion of outsiders, are the norms. What could possibly go wrong with that? Just because you are smart enough to fly a drone doesn't mean you are smart enough to fly a drone, if you get my drift!

I go on photo walks with my daughter who is a very artistic photographer. When we get to the site, we split up and each do our own thing. Later we get together and share what we have done. It is always quite different. And the different ideas stimulate both of us for the next time.

You must belong to one heck of a club,I joined a major camera club many yrs ago, while it was fun I found a lot of the main competition winner to be the rudest and over bearing people I have met in my life, one of which would find and photograph a small flower or mushroom then walk on it so no one else could photograph it, when I challenged him on it I was told to get over it by other older members. I did stay for 10 yrs.
You had to learn the pecking order !!!

After 10 years, you remained in the same pecking order?

Just wondering if it would be worth the effort to try to sell On Ebay my Sony a6000 and Sony 55-210 lens which took a swim in a river and are quite dead. Would anyone have a use for them for parts? I'm still in mourning though. Once a week, I put in a battery in hopes that it will rise from the dead. Maybe on Halloween.

Sorry about your lost. There are two enemies of a digital camera. Direct impact damage and water. Impact damage can be repaired, sometimes very costly. Water turns cameras into bricks. I knew someone who dropped a very expensive full frame camera into a swimming pool. It could not be repaired. There was a uhh member who brought back to life his Canon SX50 Bridge Camera. It took a few weeks of drying though. Naturally. Popped in the battery. Bingo.

I really enjoyed that video. Those three guitarists were great. There are Jimmy Hendrix and Randy Rhodes fans of "Rock", however they used electric guitars. I was introduced to a Jazz Guitarist named Wes Montgomery some 20+ years ago. A much different flavor of guitar though. His music is on YouTube too. Thanks for sharing the video.

I am seeking advice and wisdom on a lens choice :)  I have been asked to take a family photo.  The group is 7 adults and 2 small children.  The shoot will be outside so there is plenty of room to move around.  I will be using a full frame camera and I have a f1.8 50mm, f1.8 85mm, and my kit lens f4 24-120mm, OR I could rent a lens.  Any thoughts on this?
Thank you

I do hope your group shoot of 7 adults and 2 small children will turn out fine. I own the 50mm 1.8, and the 28mm 2.8 prime, and have used them for a group photo shoot. But there are better lenses suitable for this.

Sony lenses come in two mounts, E-mount and A-mount. I don't know if Sigma makes E-mount lenses, but the A-mount is not a high demand lens right now. Sony will continue making both A and E mounts. Sigma is coming out with a new 85mm Art Lens, and it appears to be a super lens. One that will probably attract uhh members. I saw only Nikon and Canon mounts listed. These cameras are more popular now than Sony. It's a marketing decision. We make, you buy, we make money.

Well, for mirrorles, you have a choice of Sony, Panasonic, and Olympus quality cameras. And they all have excellent lenses to choose from. Sony E-mount lenses are growing. Although I'm a Nikon owner, I have witnessed these above mentioned brands. Good luck.

The last time the Cleveland Indians won a World Series was 1948. The last time the Chicago Cubs won a World Series was 1908. The Cubs lost the World Series to the Detroit Tigers in 1945. Cleveland lost 4 straight games in the 1954 World Series against Willie Mays and the then New York Giants. The Indians appeared in another World Series in later years and lost that one too. It must have been sweet to the Indians Manager to defeat the Boston Red Sox in 3 straight games. He was fired by the Red Sox, remember. The Cleveland Indians and the Chicago Cubs are both bad luck teams for sure. Will they face each other in the 2016 World Series? Stay tuned.

The phone is dead. Discontinued. Anyone still carrying this phone and have not attempted to turn it in for exchange of another one, plus inconvenience money of about $100, is only awaiting danger. The news about this is now widespread throughout the world. Samsung is losing billions of dollars on this mishap. If you still have the phone, turn it in immediately.

And guess who popped up as always on these matters of sexual harassment? Gloria Allred. The Queen of sexual harassment lawyers. Tiger Woods, Bill Cosby, and now Donald Trump. And I have to sadly admit, she's damn good in collecting millions of dollars for her clients. And herself.
