Had the XT-1. Have the XT-2! No comparison. This is one of the finest cameras I have ever owned and I have owned a few.

Agreed, Bob.

Fujifilm really do listen to their users.

An all-round improvement on the X-T1. Fujifilm really listen and act on feedback from their users with very useful firmware updates and tweaks. They continue to support older cameras with updates too. I love my X-T2.

I'm not always a fan of Liddle but he is spot on in this case.

I read one piece where the repulsive Shiner was referred to as "a tank chaser"

Which camera i should get ? Canon EOS M5 , Fujifilm X- T2 , Sony Alpha 6300..... Please help ... Thank you

I have the X-T2 and can highly recommend it. Full featured and weather sealed with a wide range of lenses many of which have IS. Fujifilm are the best around for adding further features via firmware updates and continue to support cameras longer than most.

Lots of pixels taxes your other kit - lenses, printers, post-op.

I think the offerings in the medium format cameras will drive pixel growth but not at with as much of a tax as with DX/FX. Driving the number of pixels upwards on a FX reduces the physical pixel size resulting in not much gain in resolution. A medium format imager can achieve 100mP with larger pixel sizes than with a FX imager with only 50mP.

If you are like me and seriously looking at moving to a medium format image with its inherently superior resolution, wait until Canon, Sony and Nikon join Pentax, FujiFilm, Haasie, Leica with the sub-$8,000 offerings.

I am sure you are right but for the moment I am content - well, apart from lusting after a Phase One XF system!

That's impressive. But, I would be curious to know, if cameras with fewer than 50 megapixels, could do the same on the eye shot?

I am sure they could but the level of detail will likely be lacking with that extreme crop. You can but try.

I have just finished micro-adjusting my EF lenses on my new (to me) EOS 5DSR and tried a few shots and my smallest boy, Charlie, happened to be there. When I blew up the frame to just his eye I was amazed at the power of 50 mexapixels on this camera. I hadn't realised I was taking a selfie :

This is a crop from the full frame below.
