After reading all the awards this camera has won, I have been having a bit of a GAS attack about it. But it is so freakin' expensive !! I have not heard much about this camera from the Hoggers.... would love to know your thoughts.
I'm a big ol' jpeg girl - that is what drew me to this camera.

An excellent camera. Becoming my walk around camera. I like the retro feel and the quality of images using a range of Fuji lenses (they are not cheap but oh so good!) is outstanding. In my view money wisely spent. Firmware updates certainly add value to the camera and lenses.
Nah, the Xt-2 is pocket change when compared to the em1ii.
My brother in law loves his xt-2. Says the af is so much better than past models.
An all-round improvement on the X-T1. Fujifilm really listen and act on feedback from their users with very useful firmware updates and tweaks. They continue to support older cameras with updates too. I love my X-T2.
Only just bought mine but very impressed so far. I've just added the 100-400mm lens with the 1.4x extender for wildlife shots. It's heavy, but well balanced on the camera. I hope to try it out next week.
On back order from B&H. Waiting for new inventory.
Do you guys think the image quality is as good as a DSLR ?
And/or as good, or better, than an RX100 IV ? I'm thinking about replacing my RX100 IV with the Fuji XT-2 ?? What to you think

I have the XT-2 and a Nikon 810 I love both cameras for different reasons - I recently did a macro shoot and used the D810 - boy I had forgotton how heavy it is, quite a shock as I have been using the Fuji as my go to camera for a while. Pic quality is brilliant and I can use it handheld for a lot of shots that I can't handhold the D810 for. Different people just differing opinions.
I've attached four photos that, if memory serves, were taken the first day I had the camera. I only had the 16-55 XF zoom, which is also unstabilized. My point is that with zero familiarity I was able to be happy with results, because the ease of adjusting shutter speed, exposure compensation, ISO, made it a pleasure to use. Love the colors.
It also does a great job with skin tones. The slow focus issue is history. Fuji's reputation for great firmware updates is like no other company's.
Does it beat a Canon 5D with L glass? Only because it is a good deal lighter. IQ is close depending on glass.
Does it beat Olympus OM 1 and Panasonic GX8? Arguably, but MFT has great IS, are lighter but trickier to master.
Does it beat a Sony 6300? The Sony focuses like lightning and is really small and light. Not much pro glass available unless you use glass made for Sony's full-frame line.
I hope this is helpful.
The XT-2 has an APS-C sensor, so expect similar quality overall, similar weight, and similar lens size and weight. I also liked the physical controls, but ended up going for the Olympus system (EM1 II now).

I have an XT-1. And if the 2 is an improvement in any respect, I WANT one! Saving my money now! The XT-1 is a beautiful instrument.

Yes, once you have a Fuji, you keep forgetting where you left the Nikon!
Yes I love the Fuji ex 2 and have 3 lenses for it-18-45 ,also 60mm, and 50-230,all great lenses miss my 23mm which i traded. Very sharp camera.

That's like asking is a Ford better than a Chevy. If you want image quality as good as a mid range DSLR without the bulk...you should love the XT-2 but keep in mind it's larger than a RX 100.
Hello, everyone! I am fairly new to photography and still learning. This is my first time to join a conversation with this group.
I am in the same boat with you. I have a Sony RX100 II and am thinking of updating it to RX 100 V or Nikon D750 (all different 'apples'). However, I have heard and read good things about Fuji XT-2 and a co-worker owns one as well, and he swears by it (he sold his Canon DLSR and everything that went with it). I am not sure if I am ready to learn again in terms of manipulation of controls since the XT-2 has a different configuration. I need more convincing from the experts if it will be worth it to go for XT-2.
