Those are really good. I can't believe you're using the same EF100mm f/2.8 Macro USM I use. Of course mine is mounted on an EOS T2i. Good little starter camera.
You added something when I wasn't looking. I hate shooting through Plastic or Glass

I reposting this with a new title,

i have had topaz for about 9 to 12 months, had played with it a bunch of times with photos out of my D 3200 and have not had any problems, it worked fine., I finally am starting to use my D800 and process photos other than PS 2014, I take my "raw" photo open in "ACR" tweak it, then "open image" to PS 2014, will then do more processing or save, when i am done i save image to my {lets just say "my pictures"}, a JPEG or a TIFF, i close out PS, open topaz then find my photo, it will open in topazFXlabs, but when i try to open with a plug-in/filter my computer either 1)- box comes up saying window has encountered a problem and need to shut down and computer locks up, and i need to do
"Ctrl/Alt/delete" to FINALLY get my laptop working again!! or the program will just up and disappear!!
i took my photo and reduced the size from 75mb's to 35 mb's and now topaz seems to be working just fine with the smaller file!!
i have 114gb free space on a 250gb hard drive!!
any one else run across this problem?
i have been conversing with topaz support , but they don't seem to know!! you know the same ol' thing, remove it and reinstall ,which i did, same problem!!
I reposting this with a new title, br br i have ... (show quote)

I had the same problems with my Desk Top and doubled my RAM to 18GB. I can nopw run everything at once, no hang-ups.

Never heard of it although the Haida are a North American Indian tribe found on the West coast of Canada. But that probably doesn't help you much.

Thank you Dr Wilk. That's really interesting about the Indian Tribe in the Great Northwest.

The Vandenberge USAF base does touch & go's at our local airport.
This is a C-130 Hercules Cargo Plane California Air Guard. Camera was set on Auto no flash. So settings are different for each shot.
We also get F-15 Eagle, UH-60 Black Hawk, AH-1 SuperCobra, P-3 Orion etc.
With my new Tamron SP 150-600mm F/5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens I will be no the look-out for more military aircraft to photograph.

Results: 5,864 images, 45 meteors captured (43 Geminids, 2 Sporadic), 21 satellites (still have to ID them), and numerous aircraft as I live on the direct approach to Atlanta-Hartsfield Intl Airport (worlds busiest).

This is Outstanding and informative as usual.

Hello everybody, my name is Araia. I have nikon d3200 with 18-55 lense, new one, and an altura photo professional (AP-N1001) speedlight. I need a good lense for portrait and landscape not so expensive. What do you suggest?
Thank you very much and Merry Christmas

I would suggest the Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6g ed VR AF-S DX Nikkor Zoom Lens $200.00 on eBay. Been there & done that, perfect lens for your set-up.
You don't need a Prime Lenses right now.

If this is in the wrong section please accept my apology. I feel that i need to get some sort of software to use for editing and correcting my photos and doing some creaative things in the computer. I see a lot mentioned about two different products. Photo Shop and Lightroom. I am not a pro photographer with a large nuber of photos to process. This is just my hobby. Which do you think would be best for a person such as myself, Photoshop or Lightroom?
Thanks
Stu

I just got the PS & LR bundle 1 month ago. It's taken me awhile to get around in Lightroom and find Photoshop totally intimidating.
But it is there when I'm ready to tackle it. Lightroom does most of the basics that I need.
I also got Topaz Detail3 which finishes off what I can't do in Lightroom. Love that combo.
