I was just showing my granddaughter a couple days ago as I was taking her to a gravel road to find rocks to paint, a building out in the country where my dad use to go to get tubes for the TV. He would take the tubes there to test them and get replacements and put them in at home.

As an air show buff, I'm curious what equipment you used to capture these excellent images. Your timing is excellent, particularly with the flag shot. Great work.

I used Nikon D5600, 55-300 mm lens set on automatic and sports setting. My husband useda Canon EOS Rebel T3i with 55 - 250 lens, on sports setting.

Wonderful photos! Hopefully by our next air show here in Santa Maria, I'll doing well enough with taking photos that I can get a few flying aircraft shots. Last time I tried, I was way too slow, even when I thought I had my camera aimed and ready, got lots of empty sky shots.LOL. May ask what fstop and shutter speeds you used most?
Thanks,
PhotoNat

Quite impressive set of photos. I've seen them practice around Seattle a few times but I've not seen any of them flying upside down before. Pretty cool to see that image.

One more of flying upside down.

The Blue Angels performed locally a couple weeks ago. They are fascinating to see.

We waited over 20 minutes to try to catch a dragonfly maybe flying close to the turtle. Never expected one to land on his nose...

We get migrating pelicans stopping in our area lakes and always look forward to camera time with them.

I am also interested in where these were shot. Could it be Mingo Wildlife area?

These were taken at a lake just south of Dexter, MO called Otter Slough. Love going there to photograph wildlife. We also love going to Mingo and also nearby Duck Creek.

Great set. I like the first one best. It shows the Fox Squirrel's thick winter coat and its insulating ability. The snow flakes are not melting even on its cheeks.

They are well insulated. We even have jonquils coming up. Hope they don't freeze in the cold snap coming in.

Nice, seems I have been down to Sikeston to look at a local prison for my work. Is the river the Mississippi?

These are not at the Mississippi River but the river is a hangout for eagles right now. The river is east of us about 30 miles. The prison was probably at Charleston about 15 miles east of us which is half way toward the river.
