Where in Georgia is Briscoe Park?

Yes it is!……Briscoe Park is in Snellville….northeast of Atlanta. There are always lots of ducks and geese to practice shooting wildlife, the reason for my visit that morning.

Very interesting light and water patterns. Beautifully photogenic bridge, and perfect location of the geese.

Now that I've been made aware - via your comments - of the background, I would clone out the white parts of the houses on right side, and a little bit of the brightest white on the left. But that's just being picky

Linda, Thank you for taking the time to try to improve the photo and cleaning up the area above the bridge does do that.

Nicely done but it needs a little more room at the top for the bridge to breathe. Maybe it wasn't possible to do that and include the geese.

Ken, Thank you for the suggestion….I agree that it looks better with a little more room above the bridge. I was concerned that the houses would detract but don’t think they do.

More practice with my new hiking camera, the Panasonic ZS200.

I took this photo this morning at Briscoe Park in Georgia.

I have read local reports of Fall foliage in Virginia that due to high heat and dry season the leaves are prematurely turning brown. What leaves are left on trees are still green. You may be disappointed if you plan to shoot Fall landscape.
Good photo shoot in any case!

That does sound disappointing. I also plan to see parts of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Anyway, there will still be hiking and wild ponies! Thank you for the information.

I do have this camera, although I haven't used it much.

I found a post you did on this camera in 2021 with Fall landscapes. I bought this camera for longer hikes with the ability to capture wildlife. Even with micro four thirds, which I now use, there is usually the issue of swapping lenses….. which lens to use? As I am sure you found, the ZS200 is not a perfect camera. Your cell phone can do as well for landscapes and macro, but probably not wildlife at some distance. I will have a better idea in a few weeks how happy I am with the ZS200 as a hiking camera.

What mode are you shooting in?

I believe I shot #1 and #5 in aperture priority and the rest in macro mode. Do you have this camera?

I took these photos recently with my new hiking camera, a Panasonic ZS200. I want to be comfortable using it for my upcoming trip to Grayson Highlands State Park in Virginia.

These photos were taken locally in Georgia.

My wife and I went on a fall colors drive the other day and stopped at a large pullout area that gives a beautiful view of the Matanuska Glacier. I took this with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and edited it slightly for haze. Looks best in download.

(disclaimer: Top Gun posted a beautiful shot of the glacier in the “Gallery” section, but with a slightly different perspective. It inspired me to post this one here since mine is a smartphone shot.)

Very pretty!
