I use the peak design in my three 5D’s and am quite happy with it. I like their technology.

In love with my RX100 Mark iv. I only shoot raw. It’s eye recognition is a game changer. Packed with features yet tiny. It’s build quality is excellent. The flip around screen permits Really great selfies. Has external mic jack for video. This latest version has longer reach. Because it’s soo small it’s always with me.

A piece of gear that I purchased used came with what looked like a real canon battery. it did say Canon. Same problem The battery would not get a full charge and within the year it got worse and worse. The item I bought was only a few months old but as it turns out it was a counterfeit canon battery. Seems they counterfeit these batteries in China. When comparing the real McCoy to the counterfeit there a difference is on the label. Furthermore the counterfeit battery is slightly off in size.

I started buying canon with the gX10 and a t5i and moved to the 5Diii when that came out , when the 5D IV came out I purchased the IV and then the 5DS for special work. The 5DIV is the best low light camera I have ever owned and does everything great. Buy it you will be very happy.

If your out for a day of shooting the wasabi is ok for back up. They do not measure up to canon on any measure. On a long day shoot I would take two canon batteries and 2 generic as back up only in the rare instance that 2 canon batteries is not enough.

I think you can’t go wrong with the 5D Mark IV as your 2nd camera. I have the mark iii and added the IV and it’s seamless with more features. All your lenses will work. Go for it.

Abe’s of Main is not reputable. They sell gray market or refurbished by some unknown company, to you without telling you. They take your credit card then mail you the wrong stuff. They take your credit card then tell you they don’t have your stuff a week later and switch you to another product. You will not have a us warranty. Canon charges about double for any gray market repairs. STAY AWAY FROM ABES OF MAINE

Too broad a question without knowing the type and length of the shoot. If shooting from my florida balcony or from home in maybe nothing but the camera with a selected lens. I am close enough to my gear. If going to dinner with friends, one of my Sony RX100VII version pocket cameras, a mini tripod and spare battery. If on a two night road trip I might take 2 cameras, mini and travel tripod, 3 lens’s such as the 16-35, 24-70, and 70-200, spare batteries, filters,, multitool, remote release, chargers, lens cleaner, flashlight,

I have 3 Stoney RX100’s. The mark III, IV and VII. They all have fill flash, very useful mode. The VII is 1 stop slower at 2.8, but compensated with a more powerful stabilization than the III or IV or V. THE VII has eye recognition and tracking that is truly a game changer. For travel the longer reach is going to be the one. The VII also now has an external Mic jack and with its 4K video is very close to my canon 5D4 just way more convenient. The rx100’s are small enough so that I always carry one. For selfies the flip over screen is amazing. And I only shoot in raw.

Eneloop for flash and for other devices. Their cheaper in the end because they never leak and damage your stuff and take 1000 charges
