Why don’t you read the rules for Chit-Chat. Non-PHOTOGRAPHY subjects!

Audacity is free and will convert almost anything to anything (but I haven’t checked .wav to .flac files)
That works, I’ve used it for that. Exact Audio Copy is another free program that will convert CD’s to FLAC files. I’ve only done a few 100 that way.
Look, it is really quite simple. A lot of people, in every age group, spend way too much time on their phones. Texting, Tik Tok, emails, and actually talking to other people. So, having a handy camera which takes decent photos on the device you carry constantly means you don't have to carry another device to take photos. For 99% of the smartphone users picture quality and all the things you can do with a standalone camera are not major factors, recording events and places in your life is. And, if the photos are decent quality all the better. The smartphone camera technology is just a convenience factor for most people. And, they don't have to learn more than point and shoot.

I might not know much about airplane design, but I do know that planes aren't supposed to kill 356 people because the company wanted to sell more planes without requiring pilot training.
Would you like another case of Boeing Kool Aid?
The responsibility for training flight crews is the airlines. Both of the carriers did not want to spend the money or time to provide complete training. I was talking to a pilot last night. He said that he is flying the Max and they are trained on how to react to runaway trim. Meanwhile, the software glitch has been fixed. Other than these two unfortunate accidents, please provide facts about other Boeing aircraft failures. Considering the millions of passengers and millions of miles that are flown on Boeing aircraft daily their safety record is outstanding.
While I usually prefer color photos, in this case the B&W has a certain essence to it that the color version lacks. The B&W looks like it has a story to tell, the color is just a vendor's cart, ho-hum.
Very interesting, captures the essence of the subject very well.
According to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the train show is done by the NY Botanic Gardens in the Bronx. The show runs through 1/16/23.
Two must see locations in San Antonio are Riverwalk and the Alamo.
I would take the Tesla out of the discussion. I wouldn't contribute a dime to Musk, the ultra rich nutjob.
I have been using Edge exclusively for several months. It is based on the Chromium engine, so it is similar in performance to Chrome. It is less of a resource hog. Prior to Edge, I used Firefox.
Accident + Ignorance = Hysteria. I’ve been a General Aviation pilot for over 50 years. Planes made by every manufacturer have been in accidents. When a defect, hardware or software, is found, the FAA issues an airworthiness directive that mandates a fix and a timeframe in which to complete it. Automakers issue recalls to accomplish the same thing. Planes do crash, as do trains, buses, cars, etc. As others have said, if you want to avoid risk, stay home. But, don’t turn on any appliances, furnaces, water heaters, or start fires in fireplaces. Just wrap up in a blanket, pull the covers over your head, try not to smother.

When I first got into editing I used a free sw called paint.net. While I have all of the Luminar & inpixio programs, when I want a quick, but accurate improvement, I still go to paint.net. Plus, if you want to get into more in-depth editing, there are several extensions to paint.net that are still free.
What a great recording! She has always been one of my favorites, and to think she sang that with a head cold. Amazing!
