Very Still Morning
Crescent Moon and Venus
The alien spaceship shape we call a wing. There are shapes similar to that all through the area. It is very easy to get lost without a gps. The ground is so hard that much of the time you won't leave any tracks where you are walking. Also, Keep in mind it's 45,000 acres. That night I was about 2.5 miles Northeast of the south parking lot. There are several maps online. Don't entirely trust google maps, it's old and some things have changed. The North parking lot has been closed.
Thank you all for your comments. They are much appreciated!

The Q is an amazing piece of gear. I was trying out my new 08 wide zoom. That is actually a horizontal crop of a vertical picture.
I have been exploring the Bisti this fall. Since I live a couple hours away, it's not too far to go. If you go, figure out how much water you need, and double it. Do Not go very far in without a GPS!
I call these the Surfboards
One little valley among many
Caught a nice sunset. This is straight out of the camera
Different night, waiting for the moon to come up
About 2/3rds of a moon

Here in Colorado they are drunk AND stoned!!
I am testing the Panasonic DC-ZS70 right now. A friend purchased it for his wife and wants me to show her how it works. I just started with it yesterday, I took pictures of backlit weeds moving in the wind at 720mm and they came out fine. Slightly overcast. Using the viewfinder. So far, I am impressed with it. Beach Camera with a bunch of goodies, $400.00
I didn't notice any tornados....
Pentax in use: K-3, K-01, MX-1, Q, ME, ME Super. Lots of lenses, new and legacy.
All of these shots are just fantastic!!!!!!!!! Here are 2 of my favorites.
Both shot with Pentax K-3 with 18-270.
Arch Rock- ISO 2200, 20 seconds. Painted with a video light.
Bisti- F22 probably ISO 200? Worked on with paint shop 8.
