My digital is a K-S2; film is a K1000 and an LX. Have about 1/2 dozen lenses of various eras. All good stuff.

You're probably not even thinking of the 'Q' but I have 3 of those. Some of my most admired pics were taken with them.

You're not alone, it just feels like it! I have been a Pentax user since film, and have three K1000s, and three or four lenses. Went to a K10D as my first DSLR, so that I could still use the K lenses. All of my Pentax gear is great. Still have a BOAT LOAD to learn!

1979-95, I used two Pentax SLRs. 1995-2015 I was a Canon user, but now I’m back to Pentax with a K-30. I would purchase a KP if I could find the money.

You are not at "the back of the bus". There are a lot of "players" gone with the change from film to digital. Yet Pentax is still around and kicking. And they have weatherproofed their cameras while Canon and Nikon are barely rain resistant, not weatherproof. And they are in two markets; both full frame and medium format cameras. They may never over take Canon, Nikon, or Sony market share, but I truely believe they will be a market survivor. The only reason I never had to choose from the FF cameras is because my wife and I travel and my system has to be a small 4/3rds camera. Otherwise my camera might have been a Pentax.

Definitely not! I have been a Pentax user for years and years. I have 2 DSLR's and 3 35mm film cameras, I love them all!

I'll be a Pentax user as of tomorrow ;)

I just bought a 645 MF film system with the FA 45-85 f/4.5 from eBay. Should be here tomorrow. Now i'll really be diversified... Nikon digital, Canon 35mm, Pentax MF.

CT ... if you're in the back, come and take a seat at the front with me ... let me show you my K-50 ....

Also, I have a Pentax 6x7 waiting in the wings ...

There's a few of us out here ... don't feel you're so alone ...

Pentax has at least three definite advantages over other APS-C DSLRs (except Sony)

a) weatherproof .... b) 100% view c) IBIS ... so, it can't be all bad, now, can it, CT?

I sometimes feel like I'm at the back of the bus too until I see a quality image that comes from my K-3, K-70 or K-30. They all make fine images. I guess I just dare to be different.

I use a K-50 and my first DSLR was a K10D. I like the ability to use all of my old Pentax lenses (including screw mount).
