I am of a 'certain age' and I thank you for the stroll down memory lane. Let's go strolling, strolling across the floor.

I love to hear a new joke. I had no clue where this one was going until the punch line. Well done. LOL

BIPSTER;
I have studied one of your photos carefully: I did a little image enhancement using some proprietary software.
Zoom in on the area of concern; with a little pixel enhancement you will clearly see the phenomenon is not a UFO, Lens Flare nor jet fighter...
But you should share this photo with the NFL, Rodger Goodell and the N.E. Patriots.
It would seem you have the answer to Deflategate: now we know where that extra air pressure went.

LOL OK JimEaco , I give you the laugh of the day award.

Use your favorite (Google?) search engine and search Condensation Cone
Vapor Cone

Am aircraft need not be supersonic to create a vapor cone, and yes it can travel along and appear in multiple shots.

Since no one here can positively "Identify" the Aircraft it certainly could be called a UFO in the loosest of terms.

The lens flair theory is equally credible.

You have a wonderful series of beautiful images...

Thank you JimEaco for taking time to look and pass on this information. Just a great way to start a beautiful Saturday.

Sorry to cause such a commotion.

Naw, my "best guess" would be an aircraft.

Beautiful Photographs!
I love sunrises/sunsets like that.

I said I didn't hear anything, well. I didn't smell anything either. Thank you SonnyE

Lens flare. Its axis corresponds to the direction of the sun's rays - the light source just outside of the frame. Jet fighter breaking sound barrier is nonsense. You wouldn't get it in two separate shots, and with a nearly identical appearance in both.

Thank you for looking and for the comments rook2c4

Well then, it could be a UFO, but I doubt it. Since no one else has ever produced a credible photo of one, why should you be so lucky? :-D
Could be a jet fighter, but since the military imposes strict limits as to when, where, and at what altitude it's planes can break the sound barrier, I doubt that also. If it was over water and later in the day, maybe, but over presumably a populated area, at dawn, at what appears to be relatively low altitude would be unlikely. I think 40,000' is the minimum altitude the military allows supersonic flight over land.
If it wasn't some type of lens flare then perhaps it was some freak atmospheric condition, or even something caused by a subsonic aircraft under just the right conditions.
Make the best of it! Sell it to the gullible as proof of UFOs or some new gov't conspiracy! You could get your 15 min of fame! :-D
Well then, it could be a UFO, but I doubt it. Sinc... (show quote)

Thanks for the comments, but at my age, 15 min. of fame would be much too exhausting.

Biptster, did you hear a jet when you took the photos?

Not that I noticed. I'm sure there wasn't a loud boom.
