Do you see what I see in the sky ? What is it ? I didn't see this while I was taking these pictures, would have zoomed in if I had.

Could be a supersonic aircraft jumping from sub sonic to sonic speed...
Were the two photos shot in rapid succession?
Any military installations nearby?

I don't think it's lens flare.
I think you captured an image of a UFO :thumb up:

It's actually a fairly common occurence. It's a air pressure wave caused by a jet fighter breaking the sound barrier. The trailing edge actually causses its own "weather"

They were both taken @ 7:36 today.

It's a military jet breaking the sound barrier. We see this all the time as military jets do their maneuvers over Lake Superior. You are fortunate to have captured this.
