I recently ordered a Nikon D610 Camera and Nikon SB-70 Flash from Nikon and considering to purchase a 24-70 F2.8 lens (it is not the VR version) that is in very good condition with very little usage for a price under $1200.00. Any thoughts or suggestion from fellow members whether I should wait and try to get the VR version which more. I understand from Nikon that the lens of the non VR version is just as sharp as the VR version. I am trying to grapple if the end justify the means. Please keep the conversation as simple as possible. My interests are - taking family pictures, general photography, vacations, and cruises Many thanks
Ray

I meant shutter count not utter count
That was a typographical error

I have no quoalms about refurbished fom Nikon; it is just my opinion that a utter count ought to be noted when listing the camera

That's a proper thing to do - it helps to make a determination whether to buy a camera with a high shutter count or a new one

I am not attempting to do so - I was merely making an observation because the post has to do with shutter count. If my observation seems to create that impression in my response then I apologise

I would like to make an observation about shutter count or iterations as is also referred to: I have been trying to buy a refurbished camera from Nikon directly and asked Nikon what's the shutter count on the camera and their response was that they couldn't tell me what the count is
I called KEH camera who was also selling one with ln+ (like new) but couldn't tell me what is the count on the camera. I find their explanation
unsatisfactory. I noticed some folks are selling get their Nikon camera on eBay and they are to let buyers know what is the number of shutter counts. I would like if there are UHH members have similar experience or can shed lokght as to why Nikon is unable to say what shutter counts are on their refurbished cameras. Thanks

Dcampbell52 - I do get your explanation that the d7200 is a follow on to the d7100 but a much improved camera but Jim Bob made the observation that I am specifically asking.members opinion onthe d7200 and d610
