At least it helps my wire feed make my welds look professional.

As long as you exclude oxygen by flooding your weld location with pure Argon. (Argon+CO2 is used for some welds depending on the material being welded).

And it is possible to make highly unprofessional looking welds with a MIG welder (from personal experience).

I rate a weld successful if it sticks together. The appearance can be adjusted with a grinder and some manual dexterity.

How do you post a painting? Only by photographing or scanning the painting, then uploading the image.

With the right software you can ‘paint’ digitally to an image file and post that.

GAS is applicable to everything.

I was a normal homeowner with a riding mower. When it died I bought a small tractor with a bucket to use on the snowy driveway and a 5' mower to use on the lawn. Then since I had a tractor I started a farm. Eventually I counted 17 different implements used to cut grass and weeds. I had 6 tractors when I retired and probably 10 different implements that the tractors used to do something specific (e.g. plow, disk, a backhoe, a bedshaper and drip line server, various cultivating implements, etc.).

I never had any animals on the farm that I wanted there, but I heard from the local horse owners that they had the same problem of buying stuff for their horses (including more horses).

I saw an interesting product sponsoring a YouTuber last night: Aranet. It monitors the air in your house for CO2. It sells for $163, but there are similar devices that are less expensive. At this point in my life, does it really matter? I've lived here for 58 years. If the CO2 is too high, what do I do - open the windows? It gets cold here in the winter.

I've never tested for radon, either, or had my water tested. Tests always show something bad, but how bad is it really? If I was just starting out in life, I might be more cautious, but I'm still alive and healthy after eighty years. I had my physical exam yesterday, and the doctor said I have the body of a 79-year-old! No, seriously, I'm in good condition, with good results from the blood test.

If you have house plants, you want some CO2.

If your CO2 is too high, get some house plants.

Next thing you know, someone will invent a machine that will monitor the concentration of Argon in your house.*

this is because useful and productive tools have become saturated and there is little more we need.

And in the late 1800s, scientists declared that classical physics had solved all the problems and there was nothing more to discover (in spite of things like the ultraviolet catastrophe {q.g.}*).

There is usually a need for more. (Never say always).

A chipped door doesn't sound really serious unless it doesn't latch. Is it user replaceable? If you plan to replace the camera, it's worth a try to remove the door. What's the worst that could happen?

My old D200 battery compartment door was removable. Never tried (nor chipped) any other doors on my other cameras. You could get replacement doors from third party vendors. If the memory door doesnt' show up in the third party vendors lists, it's probably not (easily) replaceable.

And a non-Nikon repair facility might be able to replace the door at a lower cost.

Of course, GAS demands that the camera get replaced with a newer model.

PS: Have you tried duct tape? (Gaffer's tape is better -- the adhesive does not remain on the body when the tape is removed {although exposure to high temperatures could change that}. And Gaffer's tape comes in black, so it matches the body color better than most duct tape).

As we know Adobe has been integrating more and more AI features into Photoshop generative fill and has upgraded Firefly, its AI generating program, to Version 3. In the latest release of Photoshop beta it is now possible to generate a multiple layer composite image using only verbal commands. Generative Fill and Generative Expand, both AI functions, allow us to add AI images to photographs easily and Generative Expand allows us to expand the borders of a photograph with the push of a button.

Topaz Labs Gigapixel AI, DeNoise AI, Sharpen AI and Photo AI use Artificial Intelligence to correct our photographic mistakes. These have become accepted Post Processing steps and are no longer mentioned in photo descriptions yet are truly AI modified images by definition.

Ugly Hedgehog has guidelines on how and where AI and AI/photograph hybrid images may be posted. I believe it is time to revisit these guidelines. With few exceptions most of us use AI to one degree or another in Post Processing. I believe it is time to allow AI generated images to be posted in any Forum as long they are identified as such.

I recently acquired a Sony a6700 to replace a Nikon D7500 I destroyed. The new camera is significantly smaller and lighter that the old one. If I choose to use a Sony 200-600 mm lens on the a6700, I'm putting 4.5 lbs on a mount that weighs a lot less. Since the big lens has a tripod foot on a collar, that should not be a problem if I use a monopod or tripod. So far so good. However, I would like to get a good macro lens, and those tend to be big and heavy also. So I wonder, if I put, for example, a 105 mm macro lens on that A6700, can I get a tripod foot, or will I have the a6700 body on a support with the lens hanging off the front? I fear that will bend or otherwise affect the lens mount. Or am I worrying unnecessarily?

Big heavy lenses in my experience tend to have collars with a foot to support the lens. My 105 micro is light and I wouldn't worry about the camera supporting it. On my Nikon, probably the heaviest lens I have is the newer 24-70, which has a larger front element than the old 24-70 and is a bit heavier, but my current cameras support it just fine. My camera bodies are metal so they are built to support the lens. Don't know about Sony but I suspect they would be similar.

Not only are there C-to-A adapters, there are A-to-C adapters. You need both. So you can charge your C devices with your A chargers and vice versa. They're easy to keep track of because you can stack them.

I signed up for one of those a few years ago. I can't remember the details but all that was required was to sign a postcard and return it. I think I received a grand sum of around 13.00!

So the Post Office sold at least 3 stamps for the deal. One for the notice, one for the post card, and one for the check.

Reaching back in my dim memory I recall a scoutmaster telling us that you could chew a maple twig and it would shred the end to form a brush.

I also believe I heard that toothpicks are made from birch wood because it doesn’t splinter.

I make no claim as to the accuracy of these memories.
