Want to photograph fireworks tonite. Will be few hundred yards away. What do you recommend re settings for aperture, shutter speed, white balance and iso?

Thanks

I set my on manule ISO to 100 or lower I can go to 50, f16-f14, shutter on bulb. Cover lens with black card open shutter when fireworks go off remove card for a few seconds cover lens then close shutter. Try a few shots to get timing and settings right and have fun. You can lay
maltible cannons over each other for different effects.

I was wondering if I am the only person in the US to get bombarded with calls from folks that sound Indian, but say they are IRS agents and I should call them so we can clear up this terrible action they have brought against me. I have at least 10 calls to my cell phone from 10 different areas of the country. I am a retired accountant and realize this is bulls##t. So, if you have had any of these calls, please make me feel better. thanks.

I might add that I have also had calls claiming to be Microsoft or sometimes Dell saying they have received virus alerts from my computer. I played along with one until he wanted me to sign on my computer and let him have access so he could clear up this very dangerous virus. When I told him I was in my car, and I would call him back.

IRS will not call you on the phone. They will send you notification by US Mail. Or they will send an IRS agent to pick you up, before they take you in they will let you call the local police to check them out to make shore they are real agents.

Yesterday, this turtle came to visit us in our front yard. I took full advantage of his visit and took these photos. For some photos, I had to lie down on the grass so I could photograph him at eye level.

It was an informal "concert" at a city park, and some nice blues music, in Memphis. The players were enthusiastic, but the audience was small.

I'm new to photography and have been using Nikon's free software, but would like something more powerful. What I understand is that Photoshop is online, and I'm not always in a place where I have internet, or the internet is slow as molasses.

Does Photoshop have a decent program that one can simply install on their computer? And what would be the major differences between that an the online version?

lightroom 6 , elements 14, and pcs6. cc2015 might be the way nto go. 10.00 a month you get lightroom , photoshop, and some addons, you can pay by the month, or for the year. the programs are loaded into your machine and that is were you work. you have to go online one time through your billing period to keep the programs operating.,

Hello UH members. I understand that if you take a lens designed for a full frame body and put that lens on a crop sensor body you generally can multiply the focal length of the lens by the crop factor to achieve the new perceived focal length of the lens. In the case of a 100mm prime, the lens behaves like a 150mm lens on a crop body. My question is, if you have a lens specifically designed for a crop sensor body, do you even have to multiply that particular lens by the crop factor at all?

no they are designed to fit the dx sensor . I like to use full frame on dx bodies because you work just the sweet spot of the lens.

With the new price of the D610 I was thinking of going full frame. But will my dx lenses need to be replaced also. I was thinking of going from a D7000 to a 7200 but for only about $300.00 more I was thinking. Does any know if the D7200 price will come down.
Thanks
Brian

Your DX lens will work fine un your full frame. giving you time to save for full frame lenses , have fun
