I upgraded to NIK 3 as I wanted the opportunity to save the settings and return to them later, which you do by "open with" after the original edit of "edit with" in Capture One. Its not quite the same as opening a RAW file in Capture One (or DxO) with non destructive editing but it works if you remember the sequence for Capture One. I guess that in DxO you just open the file as usual. If you use Photoshop then there is the tool to open the NIK software but I don't have that any more.

Auto ISO and BBF. With a fast enough shutter speed you wont need a tripod/gimbal combo. Spot measure as well.

Also for flowers I just use coloured paper A4 size in the background and A3 size for some outside pics using supports and clips.

I do do use black velvet and dont find it shiny, perhaps because of how I light it.

Just checked my 2014 macbook pro with most uptodate software and don't have a problem. The only pics with no details are scans.

I upgraded as I want the non destructive element. I have in my applications the original Google version, the DxO V2 and now V3. I dont why people are saying V3 replaces V2, maybe partly because I keep the versions in different folders.

I have noticed that at 400mm sometimes the lens hunts for longer than usual, I adjust the focal length minutely and focus is back.

Try Peak Design, they have straps with easy adjustment to shorten the straps, the version called slide is very comfortable. Its about US$65.

Someone mentioned Zenfolio, there is also Smugmug which I have used to sell amateur sports images but you need the portfolio option. I no longer sell on Smugmug and only have the basic plan to store images. The portfolio plan has watermark protection which is essential to protect the images but it costs US$216 pa, will you sell enough to cover that?
Another option might be to find websites that sell a unique product and shoot for that, they will take a commission based on sales and may avoid the upfront investment that Smugmug or Zenfolio require.
Another option is to shoot for stock images but the rewards are low and it requires an industrial effort to take a lot of images to make it worthwhile. I used to do this as well.
Good luck

I have have a mid 2014 macbook pro with Capture One. I also use a SSD for transferring the images to my iMac. I batch 2-4 thousand images and dont have any problem on the macboook. I tend to auto adjust and add styles on import but I dont find the 13 inch screen too small for further editing. Although culling does require me to zoom in to compare some shots taken in bursts. I try to cull on the imac but If away from home and have to use the macbook it is a bit tiresome with so many images.

I bought this lens but returned it as it made a buzzing sound when using auto focus. Maybe not so good for wildlife if this noise is evident on another lens. No problem in returning it but I dont think they thought this a fault, so I dont know if this is a problem or not. Maybe an argument to try it first.

You are right that in the first situation I want to use the D750 to trigger the D7100 at a sports event and no flash is involved.

In the second studio situation I want to trigger 3 strobes which have some internal wireless connection and a separate speedlight all on their own stands, so I need two receivers and 1 transmitter I think. Would definitely want iTTL.

This reply is directed to Gene51, sorry I missed the quote reply.

I can answer this part of your question because I have done it a few times in studio photo shoots. Get two Flex-TT5 (supports TTL) units, and a Plus III (trigger only), or Plus X (trigger only.) The Flex-TT5 transmits both the PocketWizard standard and the more complex PocketWizard controlTL signals simultaneously. I had PocketWizard Plus X and Plus III units connected to my studio strobes. I had my Nikon SB-700 speedlight mounted on the Flex-TT5. The Flex-TT5 triggers both the strobes and speedlight simultaneously.

Thank you, this is the answer for my studio shots.
