This cricket has smaller legs and a different shaped body.
The nymphs were having a party on one of my mild pepper plants.
I found this one in a bush of all places! The mouth parts and antenna where in constant motion.
I think they hatched this morning.

A potato muncher on a tomato plant? Nice captures
I do enjoy a good bug hunt, but these are just plain ugly!
Sadly, these were munching away on my tomatillo plant.
This year we have a big batch of 8 foot tall sunflowers. I saw this pair of sharpshooters making more sharpshooters on one of the stalks. As I got closer, I could see one of them shooting liquid! I shot these without an extension tube because they were too big. I know they are slightly larger than one to one, but please don't put me in UHH jail for posting here. :)

lady beetle pupa!
I shot one of those this morning, but I couldn't figure out if it was a living thing!
A fly, a robber fly hanging out and a tiny jumper.
Thanks for the nice comments! It's taken me a year of infrared shooting to go from something that is a different effect to a pleasing image.
Sorry for the spots in the first image, I picked the wrong version!
I was able to swap images
I visited the James River Park on a bright sunny day. Since there were a few pretty clouds, I carried my infrared setup - Nikon D80 converted to 590nm with a 15mm Irix lens. For RAW processing, I used Darktable and GIMP for some spot removal.

Things I realized:
1. I need to try focus stacking
2. The cleaner the mirror, the better the image
3. Seeds look pretty cool
