The first thing that caught my eye is all the bird poop covering the rocks. I guess they poop where they eat?

I bought a new 50mm f1.4 about ten years ago, used it on my EOS-1n film camera a few times till my film guy closed up shop. I used it even fewer times on my EOS 60D and never on my 7D mark2. On the crop sensor it becomes an 80mm which is good for portraits but I use my 24-105 f4 L for that. The fifty has been sitting atop the dining room hutch mounted on the 1n for a number of years now and it's time for the two of them to say goodbye. Like you said, "occasional usage".

Dang! And I'm happy to spend the summer in the Poconos and towing my fishing boat to lakes around the region.

Bay Ridge has changed a ton since the sixties. Gone are the Scandinavians and most of the Italians and the stores that served them. It's now Arabians from Egypt and surrounding countries. At lot of Hookah bars everywhere! Some Spanish and Central American countries. Even Bensonhurst is almost devoid of the prominently Italian families, restaurants and delies. It's not the Brooklyn of old, that's for sure. I still miss Jahn's ice cream parlor that was on 86th street where we would go to from Staten Island for 'The Kitchen Sink'. Yes, the good old days are gone.

Jerry, good question. MT, good response. As for the naysayers in the house, Wow!

I was in there almost every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and sometimes Sunday afternoon from 1973 to 1977 all summer long. We had a house in Bradley Beach from 73 to75 and then 16th Ave. & A St. in Belmar 76 &77. Other times we frequented Art Stock's Royal Manor, Jimi Burns Seagirt Inn, Reggie's on Ocean Ave., The Osprey in Manasquan and The Beach House in Pt. Pleasant. But all has changed down there since then. The house band Holme at D'jais bought the place a while back, Royal Manor, Jimi Burns and the Beach House are gone and The Osprey is still there but different. Kellys Tavern in Neptune is still there but I haven't been there in 25 years so I don't know if they still have the best Bloody Marys or killer Rubens anymore. Bar A on 16th and the RR tracks (formally Zeroes) is still going big time as my brother in law lives around the corner tells me. These are the ones that I remember the most but there were a lot more. Our house name was the BonZos.

It's called 'Pulpit Rock' as it juts out and above the fjord like a pulpit in the older churches.
