This morning I was able to capture a fairly nice shot of a squirrel with strong backlighting. I decided to play around a bit in PSE12 with the image to try some different effects. I put up the original shot again and the doctored shot right after for comparison. Please critique to your hearts content. I am still learning about this post process stuff. Please try the downloads and thanks.

Love these shots.

Earlier this year I posted a beautiful tree laden with berries; then came the cedar waxwings and the robins and they have stripped the tree completely. This posting will show the sequence of this progression. I hope you enjoy the post; please try the downloads.

Looks like a beautiful day!

Caught this little guy in the process shedding his skin. Shot with the Lumix DMC-LX7 in macro mode. Only PP was cropping in Iphoto. Please try the down loads.

Looks like times from our youth! Great capture.

It's rainy and stormy so I decided to play around with macro photography indoors with no special light setup. These are some of my collection from my rock hobby days. I hope you like them. Please try the downloads.

Fun rainy day activity.

In December I posted a shot of winged pollinators working on my Loquat tree; I've reposted to show them working and the next couple show the results of their hard work. I also put up a couple miscellaneous captures of other stuff. I hope you enjoy them. Please try the downloads.

Yesterday I posted the ripened fruit on my Loquat tree (Japanese Plum) and today I can post the beautiful invaders that came in to take advantage of the ripened fruit. I might not get enough for jam but the beauty of these feathered friends more than makes up for it. I hope you like them. Please try the downloads.

All beautiful. I love birds.

Hello hoggers, this morning dawned beautiful, clear, and cool. My granddaughter Erica and I took off cameras in hand for Lyonia Preserve in Deltona, Florida. The Florida Scrub Jay was our main target and we were extremely fortunate to find plenty. Erika will post her photos later today or tomorrow. All photos this post are straight from the camera, no cropping or any kind of post processing. I hope you enjoy them. Please try the downloads.

Loved these shots, thanks.

The rain has really moved into central Florida and our bird friends are doing their level best to fill their crops before looking for refuge from the rain. Most photos cropped in IPhoto. In some shots you will be able to see the rain. Focus is softer than I wanted it because of the rain I think. I hope you like them; please try the downloads.

Love bird photos! All good ones.

My parrots heard the rain falling on the roof and decided it was a good day for their shower. Here are a couple of shots of my African Grey 'Chief' after he dried off. I used the Leica V-Lux1 at maximum telephoto 420mm equivalent indoors sitting down in my easy chair. The distance to Chief was about 35 feet from the living room to the Florida room where he rules the roost. Please try the downloads.

Looking very handsome today Chief!
