Artar, what a great series. Especially unique is the island in the fog with the flag pole - perfectly mirrored. Like the delicate flowers (?columbine) with the raindrops.

Thank you

April is supposed to be the month of rain showers and not snow showers. Last week it finally rained so these are fresh-for-the-challenge images.

Here is one video and 3 articles with great tips and some beautiful examples.

1. FOG: This is a National Geographic video. 3.3 minutes and the photographer was on the coast of Maine.

I saw a discussion earlier on using a UV filter on a lens and whether it affects the image or not. The following two photos were shot with the following specs: Canon T4i, Tokina 150-600 mm zoom at 600 mm. Identical exposures 1/125 sec at f6.3. Tripod mounted, remote shutter release. Cropped in CS6. The first one has a Sigma DG UV filter on and the second is without the filter. No camera raw or photoshop adjustments Interesting results

What was interesting to me is the extra detail without the filter and the reflections of the fence that show up on the first one

Looks like one of them, over to the left, has got tangled up in some orange cord.

The cord is actually a rope attached to a pin on the island and a corresponding one on the "mainland" it allows the maintenance personal to take a small boat to the island for maintenance purposes
