No they are not supportive.
Just go back to your miserable basement and cower.
The rest of us want to have a life and life has risks which we will take.
What is the difference between Walmart and the crowded grocery store where people are touching every product over and over vs a furniture store or small other business?
I would feel safer in the small store over the disease infested Walmart or grocery store.
I bet you go to those disease ridden places or you have a years supply of food.

[quote=User ID]Thaz what I do cuz it works so well in dingy clubs and downtown streets at night. Acoarst I use red-blind plates so I can more easily monitor images forming up in the soup. Never a problem, every image perfect.

Wow, those are really well done and enjoyable. The caterpillars on your hand is a bit of a shocker and took me a bit by surprise, pleasantly. Thanks for sharing!

Looking through photography books about DOF, they describe the distance from the object as the distance measured from the lens. I’m using a 16-35mm lens at 35mm, taking close up pictures of jewelry using autofocus and attempting to have a few inches of DOF. Is the distance really measured from the front element of the lens, the point closest to the object being photographed? It makes a big difference, when I enter information into a DOF calculator, whether I measure from the shutter plane or the front element of the lens. Thanks for clarification!

No, the distance is never measured from the front of the lens, but the film plane, or in this case the sensor!

With great input from fellow Hoggers, I am going to purchase a Gitzo carbon fiber tripod and a Wimberley 200H gimbal. But for those instances when I do not need or use the gimbal, it seems I also need a ball head as the tripod just comes with a screw attachment and no center post. I will be using my Nikon D-850. Comments and recommendations appreciated. This is getting to be rather expensive as the Really Right Stuff or Arca Swiss ball heads go for about $500.

Scotty

Yeah, 500 if you go for their "cheap" ones!

I have no price. I was a clinical microbiologist for over 20 years before I retired and never in my career have I seen unfounded hysteria like has been the case here. Not with SARS, MERS or H1N1. I have not changed my daily routine one iota and I am completely fine.

Ditto! To me its pretty much back to normal, been going bowling regularely for the last 4 weeks and last week after bowling, a bunch of us decided to hit the bar partying, that was great and anybody had a great time!

If someone has experience i would appreciate with an opinion on what color backdrop is best to drop out and replace with a digital background.

Which is the best choice: Green, Blue, Black, White or Gray ?? I have Black and White, and Muslim green, but eliminating the wrinkles is very difficult. The black and white are collapsible backgrounds and easier to use.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have never used a colored backdrop for that, I just replaced them with what I wanted, so I never had the need to shoot with a colored background for that!

I often wonder why there is a change in a product that is not an improvement. One that continues to annoy me is the power switch on the Epson V600. It used to be a left/right On/Off switch so I could tell by looking at it whether or not it was turned on. Now the switch is Push On/Push Off - no visual clue about the status of the scanner. Yes, there is a green LED, but it's on the front, and I have to turn the scanner sideways to fit on my desk.

I'm sure some of you have other complaints about "negative improvements."

If its not an improvement, it's probably just a cost saving change!

My Levi's from the year 2000 have a thoroughly ripped right knee, and they're stained with paint and grease. My other pair, from a few years after that, are showing their age. Last night, I ordered two pairs from Amazon for $22.00 each. An ad on Google showed me these lady's jeans for $98, and others cost up to $250. I wonder how long they will last.

The most I have ever spend on a pair of jeans, was $10!
