Interesting shot Bob, how did you get the strawberry to float on top...

Good question. I have a fork on the back of the glass suspending the Strawberry.

Wow! Indeed that is a hot sidewalk, Mr Bob! I've often heard the expression, "It's hot enough to fry and egg on the sidewalk!", but this is the first time I've seen it done!

I still prefer a frying pan and a stove top Thanks for the comments

I like how the yellow changes in the picture, MrBob! It adds depth. IMO, the picture turned out real well.

Thank you for your comment. The yellow is different and provides a soft and warm touch.

Mr Bob, depending on what editing program you use, if it has a tool to change the white balance, you could click on the yellow areas to correct if you'd prefer them to be white.

Great idea Here is what it looks like. I'll use a custom WB next time

Thanks Dixie. The yellow seamless paper appears darker as the kitchen light drops off. Not the original intent. Also the glass reflects the yellow paper. I'll experiment with more light and see what the outcome is. No flash was used.

I decided to use a stone from the garden so not to stain the sidewalk. That is the way the egg flowed once it hit the hot stone. BTW the egg will ruin the sidewalk as it did the stone.

Hottest sidewalk I ever stepped on. Cracked an egg and breakfast is served.

Looking to capture the freshness of the strawberry and the coolness of the milk. Quite delicious in the summer heat. 85 mm 1/10 sec. F 6.2 ISO 100

Many are not pros though and saving a lot of money buying 3rd party equipment that can match the quality at sometimes a fraction of the name brands cost makes a lot of sense. If I posted two photos, one taken with a Tamron lens and one with a Nikon I believe most members would have to guess which is Tamron. I'm too lazy to do that though, sorry..

I think I would agree with you for 95% of the photos "I" can't tell the difference on my phone or monitors which is the name brand matching the body. I believe that after a fair amount of post is added I will agree with you 100% that I could not tell the difference. As posted "I" am not a professional and don't expect to be one. I look at composition and clarity. I'm not a pixals peaker who enlarge to 200% to determine quality. I confess I do buy canon glass for the quality. I expect it to last many years after the Warrantee is over. Looking back I could of saved several 100 dollars buying other lens models. Luckily I have not sent a lens or body in for repair. Luck as it is.

I would like to see a "spot sale" in the pop up ads. Why not? We are definitely a captive audience. We won't get it if we don't ask.

B& H will make good on your situation. If you don't get immediate satisfaction you can go up the ladder or offer to return and buy from Adorama. You have a return policy of 30 days. Customer is always correct.

I suggest high key with dark clothing. Clean and appealing. You can do wonders in post if need be. Be sure to share your results with the group.
