I recently updated my iMac with a SSD and updated to Catalina at the same time without any problems. I had heard of others having problems with PS running with Catalina as well and was somewhat hesitant but luckily it works fine.

Made me smile over my Sunday morning coffee. Great story.

I think everyone I've had was XXXXL. I once told my Dr. "I was hoping you'd forget this part". He replied, "it's not the highlight of my day either".

Because of the absence of color the b&w image works better.

Very well done. One of those early, quite, relaxed moments. I can almost smell the coffee brewing.

What a generous project John, I applaud you as well. I'm something of a tinkerer/scrounger/fabricator and have an 85 year old uncle in a wheelchair that I'm planning to visit in a few weeks. I'll take a look at his chair and see what I can come up with. Another option may be to use a tripod with a boom that extends in front of the photographer eliminating contact with the chair all together.

Strangely a similar situation happened to me several years ago. I was shooting a model in one of the old cemeteries here in New Orleans and a guy from N.Y. approached me with the same situation, he plugged his battery into the charger the night before but forgot to plug the business end of the cord into the wall outlet, I'm guessing too many Hurricanes at Pat O's. We were both shooting D200's but he offered to swap a dead OEM battery for an aftermarket I got with the camera. We actually became pretty good friends.

It's also not a bad idea to leave the TV on as well, makes it sound like someone's home.

In addition to displaying the Do Not Disturb sign with a small strip of gaf tap to secure it I'll sometimes put an index card with "Day Sleeper" next to the Do Not Disturb sign. I still check to see that it's where I put it when I return.

Good question.
I have many lenses, some of which I seldom use.
Still, I am glad I own them, and will buy more.

This is sort of a fun question. I think I could probably get by with two, a short zoom and a long zoom. However, I still have a lens I bought shortly after acquiring my first Nikon in the 70's, a used F, which is a 43-86 zoom. I once ran across a list of the 10 worse Nikon lens and this one was on it but it's attached to the old F body sitting on a shelf next to the 50 1.4 that came with the F. Haven't used either lens in 30 or so years but can't seem to part with them even tho it's basically a paper weight or dust cap for my old Nikon. Think I'll take it down, blow the dust off and see if it still works. Sorry for the ramble

Like a lot on here I shot film in the 60's & 70's where I worked hard to scan each shot given the unforgiving nature of film. For the most part I usually did a pretty decent job of avoiding the occasional light switch growing on the side of some ones head, lamp shades that looked like hats and so on. When I converted to digital one of the first books I picked up, I think one of Scott Kelby's, he mentions going to Italy and shooting a gorgeous early morning landscape and didn't notice the power lines running through the shot at various angles. Point being no matter what your skill level or degree of dedication you never stop learning and developing good habits and an eye for detail. This happened to me recently while photographing a beautiful old barn in Minnesota. When I loaded it on my computer I noticed for the first time the big blue plastic garbage can leaning against the right side wall of the barn. PS to the rescue.

As someone mentioned I think the brighter area to the right is more distracting than the branches.

Just another old mans opinion.
