I seem to recall a command in PSE ( Elements ) called "Skew" for correcting the keystone effect.

Canuck, by way of Quebec, UP of Michigan, then the Bayou. Creole by proclivity and by lifestyle (philosophy). Jambalaya, Crawfish Pie and File Gumbo... Happy Day's allatime! Crawdad feed this weekend.

Per Hank Williams:

Goodbye Joe, me gotta go me oh my oh
Me gotta go pole the pirogue down the bayou
My Yvonne, the sweetest one, me oh my oh
Son of a gun, we'll have big fun on the bayou

Jambalaya, a-crawfish pie and-a file gumbo
'Cause tonight I'm gonna see my ma cher amio
Pick guitar, fill fruit jar and be gay-oh
Son of a gun, we'll have big fun on the bayou.

The Thibodaux the Fontaineaux the place is buzzin'
Kinfolk come to see Yvonne by the dozen
Dress in style and go hog wild me oh my oh
Son of a gun we'll have big fun on the bayou

Jambalaya, a-crawfish pie and-a file gumbo
'Cause tonight I'm gonna see my ma cher amio
Pick guitar, fill fruit jar and be gay-oh
Son of a gun, we'll have big fun on the bayou.

Unstable Friends

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there.

Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out.

When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.

When she went to tell Edna the news she said, 'Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness.

The bad news is, Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead.'

Edna replied, 'He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?'

You can do your bit by remembering to send this email to an unstable friend.

I've done my part!

Still shooting film. New rolls in 24 or 36 shots. Getting great battery life however. One battery in my A2E Canon lasts about two years.

Drove a Packard "loaner" from a body shop that painted my 1955 Chevrolet Convertible in 1962. The Packard Clipper was purple. The body shop owner wanted "townies" to know whenever anyone had their car in his shop for paint or body work.

I drove it for a week.

My girl friend was out of town for the week, but the back seat in that thing was the size of a Queen Bed. Never got her into that Packard.

Oh Well, The Chevy wasn't that bad.

The Apple ID (Security) system where the ID is on the Apple server, orphans a lot of phones that cannot be rendered usable without the original owner releasing the ID from Apple. Apple will not help on these phones for a new owner and They appear not to be "hackable". As a consequence of this relentless denial of Apple to keep perfectly usable phones in the "garbage heap", I have acquired an iPhone 8, and an iPhone X (both originally near $1000 phones, which have quite high MP camera's.

I simply do not intend to use either of these phones as telphone devices, but have found that the camera's and some of the tablet like features can still be used.

I paid $50 for the 8 and $100 for the X versions and, thus can carry shirtpocket high pixel count camera's for very little outlay. This also works for other phones that are not locked into carriers by IMEI number or contract.

It's unfortunate, but the cellular network systems are difficult to understand and transfer phones, but if one is not particular about all services on the network, many camera phones can be acquired cheaply and simply used as phones or even data acquisition/storage devices.

The V series of Epson scanners will scan 120 roll film decently, to digital. Time consuming however. I shot both 6X9 and 6x4.5 roll film. Most of mine has been scanned to digital. I would never consider the prices I see coming for digital medium format. Outrageous. The large inventory of good film digital camera's at and around $1000 will continue to blow digital medium format away for some time in image quality and other fine aspects of image pluses from film.

I prefeer the 6X9 film format, or the RB67 would be a nice option. I still have my Fujifilm GSW690, hich is a wide lens at 65mm. I still can get 120 roll film processed by the Walmart "Send Out Only" program for under $10 per roll, returned in negatives from Fujifilm Professional Labs. 15 years of doing so with my Local Walmart. No lost images. All 120 roll film.... B & W.

1955 conversion to 12 volt system.

Wrong on the 1954. Those headlight rims while properly chrome are the chrome rings for the 1953. The 1954 rings had a chrome "eyebrow" shape to them. The 1953 rings did not flare out on the top into a slight eyebrow, as did the 1954. Those are clearly 1953, as are the grille treatments.

One irony of the drive up cash ATM. They all have, if you notice, a braille pad for transactions.

This is fine for public art. Any viewer in the real world who wants to really look at it will easily focus only on it. It is also attractive enough to invite such focusing. Many will get an uplift about the human condition just looking at the statue. A success, I'd say.

As for "will never take a good photo this girl," as Pistnbroke laments, that can be easily done in photoshop if needed.

I'm not seeing any problems here, and am glad to have seen this photo.

Thank you for the comments you make to the obvious. Frankly the image is not worth the trouble to photoshop, and was intended only to point out, as you say, the existence of the effort to bring artistic endeavors to the fore. Only a portion of it surpasses objective scrutiny.

Ok so its a statue placed in a bad position behind a flagpole /rope still on pole/ impossible to read sign behind..will never take a good photo this girl.

One of the major fail points of the Commission for Art in Public Places. Post processing would have been opening a PP can of worms. Remove the pole, have to recreate the signage. Public Art is rarely photogenic, which I why I said questionable. So much relatively good art is wasted in bad settings. Unfortunate. What would it serve, other than for my own desire to have this art improved for only my consumption.

Rather a waste off effort on my part to do as you suggest. This is the significant difficulty with trying to bring art to the "unwashed" massess.

A well thought endeavor, poorly executed. Not to be done by committee and/or on every street corner.

It's the lack of proper execution where "public art" fails.
