Thanks, but the first one is not of me. It was acrost a pond about 40 feet. There was no one else around so it is a "ghost shadow"

Today has been a mess. Need to get my D5100 ready for my trip, so I got a Rocket air blaster and thought I could blow off some dust particles from the Sensor. Did not work, maybe worse, so went to Ritz Camera to see about cleaning the Senors. Five minutes later he tells me it's too dirty, and they would need to send it off. Cost $90.00 with shipping, and back in 3 or 4 weeks. NOT! I finally talked to them and they told me about another shop in town that worked on Nikon's. Went there and they do it for $75.00 and will have it back TOMORROW. So on the way home I see all sorts of oprotunities for reflections, reach for my camera and, THE BAG IS EMPTY. So today you get archives.
In the first one I want you to look right at the tip of the birds beak and tell me what you see. This is my favorite picture, not perfect, but mind boggling. Just to the right of that there is something else I can see, but will comment on both later if you can't see them, but I know you will find what I found. LOL

Well I hope this challenge doesnt mean just local skyscrapers....here are pics I shot while visiting New York City...and Philadelphia and Atlantic city...I think most are of New York city though...and that was in 2009 and I can tell how much my photography has improved since then! The first one .... is the skyline of Anchorage...taken a few days ago at nearly midnight.

Welcome to Day 172 :) Today it's all about Skyscrapers.
Now before those of you that live in the country start complaining ... We don't have any skyscrapers in Tucson either. Most of our buildings are 5 or 6 stories. So if the tallest building you have is 2 stories tall .. then it counts as a local skyscraper. Here are a few examples to get us started... I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

This is about it for us.

Gee Hal.you beat me to silos submissions...........all i have left is a pic of a 2 storey outhouse..gotta wait till its vacant first

Welcome to Day 171 :) The subject for today is Around the Block. Now I know some of you live in the country and don't actually have a *block* to walk around .. so let's make it about your neighborhood. Things close to home that you see everyday. My neighborhood is really boring .. I had to go around the block twice before I decided to go a different direction and just post some interesting things I found on my walk. So here are some examples to get us started .. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

I have a dinner thing this eve, so this may be it. Last night I got this leaf that blew in on the porch after a hard rain, and my faithful if not too active porch photography assistant. My typical evening neighborhood.

I live really close to the lake. Wished I could have caught the way this really looked. By the time I got my camera out it was already changing. The clouds had opened up and it had turned the whole lake a beautiful silver.
