We've all heard that every time a JPEG is modified and saved, it loses a bit of quality. I did a little experiment. I found a picture of my dogs and changed it and saved it 100 times. Then I took a crop out of the center. The first shot below is the original. The second one has been modified and saved 100 times. When I did the processing and saving, it was always with the previous copy, not with the original. The picture was 1.15 MB, taken a few years ago with a Nikon D90. You can draw your own conclusions.

I am considering getting a Canon SX60. I have a Nikon P 900. The most annoying thing about the P 900 is that after I take the picture I am used to looking at the LED screen to review the pic I just took. That isn't possible on the P 900. My question is for those who own the SX60 can I see what I just shot in the LED screen? I have downloaded the manual and can't find anything about reviewing the photo. Thanks in advance.

I own one, yes you can .

Your back ground was right for good contrast and composition is excellent. Black and white both can be shade that hard to get right.
Good detail and every thing else works for this one.

Good Job. I'm a firm believer in good equipment does matter.

Holy crap. No wonder I'll never live in Kalifornia again. What a place...they are just bound and determined to get everyone to move out along with all businesses.

Miss your photos of Pancho, Gracie and Violet. How are they? Sadly, our Raphael passed March 18, 2016 at the age of 15 yrs.

Don't waste your time or money. Wait until you have enough to get yourself a decent tripod (in the $300 and up range). In the meantime, use higher ISOs.

Really Right Stuff, Gitzo, Feisol, Three Legged Thing, higher end Benro, Manfrotto, Sirui and Induro, etc. Avoid any tripod that sold for less than $300 used. They are generally not build to last, and also fail to perform which is usually why people sell them - and you will too.

I take exception to your statement. I have a Slik 700 DX Pro, $120.00 that is pan tilt and solid as a rock. will hold steady my Canon 5dmII with a Canon 70-200mm is usm II

If you are considering the purchase of a new camera, and are considering the Canon 7D MK II, I would very strongly, advise you,
to seriously, look into the Nikon D7200.

They are two parallel cameras, and the Nikon camera. has a very far superior. Image Sensor. to the Canon camera. which is very important!

You can see these camera's rated, at the scientific Camera Testing Website: https:/www.dxomark.com, just select "Camera" and then both Nikon and Canon, and you can see the ratings of both of these cameras.

The D7200 is rated at 87, while the 7D MKII is rated at 70 !!!

The only thing, that the 7D MKII is best for is for photographing Birds In Flight, due to it's type of focusing system, that it uses.

For all, other use, the Nikon D7200, is the better camera.

This is my opinion, based upon my own knowledge, of all of the available facts, and information, regarding these two cameras.

I've spent 50 hours or more studying these DSLR camera's extremely carefully and all of the other available camera's on the market. I know just what I'm talking about.

I was shopping for one of these two camera's, myself, and I selected, and finally did purchase, the Nikon D7200 camera, as I clearly understood it, to be the better camera, for all kinds of general use.

It is, the ultimate, crop sensor, DSLR, on the market, today! (I am not considering the Nikon D-500 at $2,000.00)

It is perfect in EVERY way!!!

You are guaranteed, to love, this camera, in every way!!!

FURTHER, BE ADVISED, THAT THIS $1,100.00 BODY, IS TODAY....

BEING SOLD ---SPECIAL--BY WWW.ADORAMA.COM

FOR ONLY $779.00 !!! REFURBISHED !!!

THIS IS THE DEAL OF A LIFETIME !!!

I WOULD INSTANTLY, JUMP ON IT, TODAY, IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING, ONE OF THESE, VERY FINE CAMERA'S!!!

*****You will never again, touch this, very great, Price, anywhere, and the Nikon Factory Refurbished Camera's, are just as good,
as Brand New ***Many Believe they are Better, Than Brand New
Stock To Buy !!!

Happy days...To all of you Photographer's out there on the Hog!

Allen...

PS - If you're even considering the purchase of a Nikon D7200 I'd very strongly advise you to quickly contact Adorama today and to make your move and get one of these refurbished camera's as this price is a literal STEAL!!!

What are we gonna do?!?!
I was getting ready for work this morning, I had just put on my green underwear when I heard the screech and ran outside.
There I was, standing there in the middle of the street in only my green underwear and the Brown Truck(BT) was upside down with its wheels pointed straight up at the sky!!!!! There are red and white, and black and gold boxes strewn all over the road for as far as my eye could see!!!
What should I do?!?! My heart was racing and pounding!!!
My first instinct was to call EMS and see if the driver was OK, but then I came to my senses, and thought I should call all of my photog buddies to come and take pictures.
OR, should I help the driver flip it back onto its wheels and help her stack the packages back into the truck?!?!
Again, I came to my senses and started to look at all those strewn about packages to see if any were for me!
Did I do the right thing?!?!
And it's a little chilly doing this in only my green underwear!!!!!!!!
My question to the Hogs is...., what color underwear would YOU have worn?!?!?!
