I, very much, like the one without the people. Crop a little off the bottom, and you will have a gorgeous skyline shot of Dayton.
You caught the evening light at the perfect time on a particularly beautiful day.
Great work; good eye!
John S.
I would like to see the one without the people. John S.
Golly, Pro-1, he's probably jumping for joy.
How insulting can you get?
John
You misread the tracking information. The package did not go to Omaha first. That was an "electronic" (email) message sent as part of the tracking process. It had nothing to do with the movement of the package.
It looks to me that your delivery time was very good. John S.
I am going to add another voice for the Canon SX250. You cannot come close to this camera and its versatility for this money. There are several others that I could name, but the 250 is so much camera for that money that it wins, hands down.

I have a mint E-420 body that I will sell reasonably. If interested, let me know, and we can go from there. I am in Pennsylvania.

An outstanding camera for your purpose will be the Olympus
XZ-2. It takes outstanding photos, sharp, clear, wonderful color.
If you check any of the highly regarded reviewers, you will find they all rate it as top notch.
I have one and could not be happier with the results.

Check out
Panorama section of our forum.
Very, very nice but you didn't tell us which point and shoot it was.
Maybe some of us own the same model camera and appreciate it capabilities.

joer, thank you for posting the photo of the Red Headed Woodpecker.
I hope you don't object, but I download a copy of the photo. I just want it to add to my personal file of bird varieties.
John S.
Thank you, Scot
Quite interesting. The pictures look like they are a very beautiful bird. I would love to see one.
John S.
Why is this called a Red-bellied Woodpecker when it is the head that is red? I have always wondered about this but now decided to ask.

I have no interest in getting into this debate, but do have some good information for LFingar.
Take the CD containing the manual to your local OfficeMax or comparable store. They will print you a perfect sized (about 4.5 x 6 inch size) manual, spiral bound, for $10-$12. They do a beautiful job.
I have done several and could not be more pleased. Forget about that 81/2 by 11 stuff!

Welcome. I live in Lancaster.

I am going to give you a simple reply which seems to me to be what you were seeking. Between the 35mm and 50mm, choose the 50mm, without question.
This will be less limiting than the 35mm. Don't get caught up in all the technical discussion. You say this is a first step macro adventure. Keep it that way and learn by doing. That experience will show you the direction you want to pursue later.
Good luck.
John S.
Welcome, Longshadow.
Although I live in Lancaster, PA, I was born and spent most of my life in Phoenixville. I know Audubon well.
You will enjoy UHH, lots of activity and good photography.
