Reminds me of our stop there in 72 on our way to Alaska. That area was a highlight of that trip! As soon as I saw the first lake shot I was back there! Thanks much for posting these.
Took that the first time 10 Nov 1959. Retired 30 Nov 79. USAF Medical. Only deadly fire I was on the wrong end of was in Washington D.C. during the MLK riots! I do NOT see in it that I (we) had or have the right to choose which POTUS to support.
Great! Is it the bridge near the north end of the Natchez Trace National Park?
For the post asking about the two things in the water.....
Look like channel marker buoys to me.

One other thing about these critters, DO NOT HIT them with your car! Unless you own a front end alignment shop. They are worse then potholes.
Good photos of a weird animal tho. Thanks for sharing.

Image #18. I'm not real sure but I think that those cars had a bin at each end that 100 lb blocks of ice was used. Air was blown across the ice and into the car itself. If you had a shot of the top of that car we could tell more. Also, I believe sawdust was used as insulation in them.
Mike, is #1 the lake on the back side of Elemadorf AFB? Great job on all of them!

Maybe if the OP would indicate his likes, his interests, a lot more places would be submitted. National parks? USAF Museum, Wright Brothers Bicycle Shop, Skyline Drive, Gatlinburg Tn. Mount Vernon Va, Nashville Tn, Spring Mill State Park Ind. Hard to list without knowing a little more about his time constraints and his interests.
0Please check to see if the park and its attractions will be fully open. Nashville news said yesterday to check with the GSNP because of the long government shutdown, they are way behind getting the winter damage cleaned up and a lot of the park will not be open by Easter. Don't know about the other parks in the area or further north. Just passing on what we heard. A phone call may save a disappointing trip.
Hey Folks, What ever happened to pilot training? Being certified on xxx aircraft? two hundred hours in type for a copilot? ?
I agree, those attitude indicators are something new, but turn off the autopilot when it starts going crazy!
Yes, in today's' world Boeing will take a hit, however, look at all the safety gizmos that you can option on your new car. Did you option them or did you just settle for a "Plain Jane" car? Why didn't you get them, too much money for them?
Great set. Wish I had seen that show. Patsy is,was and always will be a #1 hit with me. Had the privilege of meeting and talking with her daughter a few years ago. Nice lady.

Laid a film camera on the dash of a light plane in Alaska back in the mid seventies. While cruising along a mountain we hit some CRAZY clear air turbulence. The camera went clear across the cabin and tried to batter it's way out of the plane. We learned Never Put Anything on the dash! Didn't seem to hurt it tho, used it for another 4-5 years with no problems.
