Maybe it's just the redneck in me.... but I would have found my 500mm lens and stood off property.............
I live here in Arizona.. Please what ever you do stay away from the west rim. It is a terrible waste of money.
Canon AE1 Canon FTb Yashica A Pentax k1000 Canon Elan II.... So it's all film for me no matter what the cost.. IMHO it does a better job
It's a shame that we have come to this instant gratification world. It's amazing how quick things change. Even Sears is going away after all these years. Blackberry was once on top.. now after a three day outage, people are outraged. Call me old fashioned but I can live without a cell phone ( still don't own one ) and facebook.. I don't have an account. Slow down a little bit.. Go out and buy a couple rolls of film to help keep the remaining stuff out there.
I can buy a lot of film for $7000
I use the PANTONE HUEY PRO.... It works great for me and it's only $99

Which is why I still use film
Ah! I'm glad there are others on the forum who still use what I persist in regarding as 'real' cameras.
Cheers,

yopu can donatye them to me.. I'll use them....
My wife is her familys photo junkie. She has a ton of stuff that noone wanted over the years. She is a 13th generation American. A decendant of Roger Williams.
I am not so lucky. My grandmother came over on the boat from Austria. My mom died when I was 12, so there isn't many phoos of her. my dad had a huge collection of photos tucked away in a dresser drawer. He passed away about 12 years ago and when my brother and I went to get the photos, they were almost all gone.. He must have thrown them out while cleaning or something.
For what it's worth.... Everyone here needs to pick up the December issue of Arizona Highways.. It's a best of issue......
For me it's about going back in time. I used to do a lot of railroad realted photos when I lived in Ohio. Now that I'm here in Arizona it's about capturing the beauty that God has provided us. Most peolpe that I show my photos to at work ask where they were taken.. Most have been within a few miles of the little town here.
I just bought a Canoscan 9000f. It was about $170 at Amazon. Does a great job on everything.
Still shoot all film myself. The wife has a point and shoot digital which does a pretty good job, but doesn't even some close to my Velvia slides or my medium format Yashica.
I have a Canoscan 9000F and love it..
The site doesn't work for me... All I get is some Japanese reply..........
