I don't think it was a blimp. I think I would have remembered that. A helicopter is a possibility. I don't know about a plane. You'd think you'd see some kind of a wing or tail. I just don't know.

Definately a UFO! If I was to hazard a guess-a helicopter?
I've blown it up and tried everything to get a better look and I just don't know
I took this picture several years ago. It is of Chicago's waterfront. It was probably taken from the aquarium but I'm not sure anymore. Anyway, I was posting it on one of the threads and I noticed something high in the sky above the tallest building in the center. I zoomed in and I don't see any wings but O'hare and Marshal airports aren't far away. My wife says it is a plane but I don't see the wings. Thoughts?

Consider today a review so feel free to post anything.
this is a pic I took a while back with a fresh new treatment i applied just now. Im reviewing how I liked it then and how i like it now.
some people think you can take a not so good pic and make it better in post processing...sometimes that seems true but to apply special effects I think you need to start off with something pretty good

Hello everybody ..... When I started this challenge I didnt know how many days it would last. Quite frankly I'm surprised it lasted this long. I'm here to tell you this is the last day I will be posting anything .. I am leaving the forum. I have grown to care very much for each and every one of you. You are an awesome bunch of photographers and even better bunch of people. I hope y'all find a way to continue this thread to the completion.
Don't worry about me I am really fine. I just had to prioritize things. So please take good care of yourselves. I'll be thinking about ya. .... Sherrie

Welcome to Day 211 :) Today it's all about Why You Became A Photographer. I just kind of stumbled my way into it. Bought a camera and took pictures. It wasn't until this forum that I even remotely became interested in knowing how my camera worked. I have found that there are so many moments in life that need to be documented.
Here are just a few. I look forward to seeing what drives y'all.
I got a camera when I was about seven. I think it was a Brownie but I'm not sure. I remeber burning my fingers on the flashbulbs. Then I remember getting a Kodak with the square flash cubes and once again burning my fingers (you'd think I would have learned my lesson). Most of my shoots were of family and around the house stuff. When I entered junior high school (that's what we called it back then), I started shooting nature and landscapes. In high school, I bought my first SLR, a Praktica 1000 and I had that until my late 20's when I bought a Minolta X570. That I had until I got my digital Kodak Z891.
I shoot just about everything. I think it's that captured moment in time that intrigues me. Also, being at that perfect moment in time when, lighting, subject matter and surroundings all come together to get that really "cool" shot.

Just a few around our state. we have a lot of them restored.
Hey Vic - Just saw your post. Here's some pices of the covered bridge that I grew up with. I saw it out our front window everyday. It is called Jackson's Sawmill Covered Bridge in Bart Township, Lancaster County, PA. It got washed out in a flood and the township was petitioned by the residents to rebuild it so they did.
This is what it originally looked like
After the flood. It was slammed up against the trees
Looking through the frame
The original 1850 foundation
They set it in a field and posted a light to stop vandalism
They rebuilt the frame and lifted it on the new poured concrete with giant cranes
After it was all said and done

Welcome to Day 199 :) Hard to believe it's been this many days ! Today it's all about Sporting Events .. or what should be sporting events :) That should leave it wide open to interpretation :) ... Once again we had torrential rains .. so I did not go out ... I found some examples in my archives .. some with a much looser interpretation than others lol ... I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with for this one.
Some from the archives, it's 96 and humid today but I have to mow the yard. The little rain we had a couple nights ago made some areas poof up.
