Thats great! I do admire people who have the patience and skill (to say nothing of the equipment!) to take these beautiful images. In GB we are often notified of interesting happenigs which are usually around 3oclock in the morning, but it is rare to get clear skies so I dont usually bother trying to view, Lovely to see your image.

All the way from GB. Thank you very much for stopping by Trixsy.
Your Mid Day Storm shots look ominous, cool shots.

Thanks, and the one thing I know I need before anything is a good tripod. I have three but they are either old, unstable, or flimsy. It is very addicting. Thanks!

Hey PJ,
It's also very important to use a Remote Shutter or the Timer.
I'm very anal about it I use a Tripod, Mirror-Up and a Remote Shutter Release.
Any Tripod that will hold the Camera and Lens will do in this case.
Absolute steadiness is a must in my mind anyway.
Don't worry so much about the light polution get the practice.
Here's one I took in my polluted backyard.

Are you talking about my Avatar photo? I took that photo with my Motorola Razor MaxHD's onboard camera in HDR mode. No software finaggling...I swear.

Although I do wish I had TOPAZ. I just got PSP-7 for Christmas and have yet to do anything of substance with it. But thanks for the compliment.

Flowers: Original and "Topaz'd" (by a fellow "Hogger"). I didn't read the whole title sorry I thought you had Topaz yourself.
It is a great add-on to Lightroom I use Topaz Detail3 and I'm getting Topaz Focus next.
You do have some other Really nice Post also.

That is a very cool shot, and even better in download. Thanks for keeping your eyes on the heavens for the rest of us. Are you going to try to get a shot of the asteroid crossing our path tonight?

AuntieM thank you very much.

What is the best way to clean the sensor on the nikon ? Are any tools required are what are they? Is a blower good, or am I wrong.thanks

There are Specialty CCD Sensor cleaning swabs you can get on eBay or elsewhere. Try to get the right size Full Frame.

I took this at ASA, time, much lower than what I expected and F8 higher than expected and still got too much sky light.

PJ with all the Light Pollution from the Moon right now that is a good shot, I'm proud of you. Wait till the moon is past full and not up yet and you are going to have great shots.
