Apparently, no body here uses a Pentax K5. It's smaller (APS-C) but almost at a pro level...........you can shoot ISO 6400 all day long if needed and get great results.....

Go to the Pentax forum and check things out.....the world does not revolve around Canikon.......... :)

GD
is Lightroom 3 and upgrade? or can you just buy it as it is? I only have PS Elements 9.....

I'm afraid you'd have to buy LR3 outright....it's not an upgrade.....I used Elements up to version 8 and then bit the bullet and purchased LR3. If you join NAAP I believe you can get a discount......15% I believe....see link

I think you need to put the camera down for a couple of weeks and read a couple of books on basic DSLR use..pick the camera back up after you have digested a few chapters.....no hurry.......selling your equipment will get you nowhere....

Once the lens focuses past it's infinity point, it doesn't care how far the subject is...........

First off, Rach, I'd recommend using the Tammy 10-24 all day while shooting in NO.........You are so lucky to live in the area cause it gives soooo many photo opportunities...

I shoot a Pentax K5 and use TAV setting which lets me think about either shutter speed or f stop and it picks the ISO.....pretty cool in my book...

I really enjoy HDR, but don't want to over process. Below are 3 pics I took in the Gettysburg PA area earlier this summer....all HDR

I've read some bad reviews of the eye-fi............it seems like a solution looking for a problem...

nice answer jim, been doing the AV and TV thing for the last month with manual ISO,focus, white balance and exspouser....full manual is next.

I'm like tj............started using AV 98% of the time and really learned much.....switched to TV now and am progressing so much that I find myself switching to M more and more often...........I think AV and TV increased my confidence along the way, too.
