Great shot, and it is always good to be lucky.

As far as gloves go, when I played clarinet in a marching band (more than 55 years ago) we wore white gloves with the bottom of the fingers cut out. That way we could play our instruments but it still looked like we were wearing gloves. This was really handy in the winter in Michigan. I'll bet you could do the same thing. I haven't tried it for the camera yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

What a fantastic series. What were you shooting and what settings were you using.

Quite the character is your baboon. The photos brought a smile to my face, especially the last one. This 'guy' really seems to have a definite personality that shines through all of the photos.

Purple is my favorite color and this truly does justice to it. I love it.

In Dec. I bought a Nikon D500. Since then I have bought four new Nikkor lenses for the camera. I had an old Nikon and one old DX lens and decided to go all the way with my purchases (Tax returns are going to pay for most of it). Now I'm in WI and the weather has been very cold with some snow. I'm stuck in the house on most days. My cat is getting used to being a model and she just looks at me every time I go to take her picture. Love the D500 with an SB5000 speedlight on it. It does a terrific job on the eyes of the cat with no red eye to be found. I am anxiously awaiting better weather to be able to get out more. In the meantime I'm reading up on the camera and I'm going to start a class next week being offered by a local camera shop.

Beautiful shot. Definitely makes me want to put a bird feeder on my balcony. I'll have to see if we're allowed to hang them there.

Great shots. It is even colder there than here in Southeast Wisconsin. These shots make it worth being out in the cold and snow.

Welcome to the forum. I read it daily as I am just an amateur and learning a new camera. Well worth my time.

You probably already checked this, but do you have the latest version of the D500 firmware loaded onto your camera? ( http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/download/fw/205.html) They released version 1.11 late last year and this may help as Nikon says they : Added support for the iOS version of SnapBridge."
Hope this helps

I checked the firmware and it is the latest version. This worked when I got the camera (late in Dec.) but then just quit working.
