what do you mean by noise.There is no noise when I open the picture in bridge or CS5 .The use of the filter on this lens is degrading the picture. Take it off.If you see noise what type of noise do you see? Camera plug -in used with Bridge will correct most noise.Also what ISO are you using

If you still need help I use a program called PhotoRescue.It has recovered pictures even after my card was formatted

I use 400 iso so I can use a faster shutter speed usually 2000 That way I can shoot with any lens opening and not worry about hand holding the camera

I own two tamron lens with six year warranty. I had a Sigma lens 28-300 two years old the auto focus gear broke . Sigma could not repair it.I bought a later model 28-300 .After thirteen months this lens also broke Sigma could not repair ,They would not replace it ,but offered me $50.00 for a replacement.Do not buy Sigma
