If you post-process your photos, you can get Topaz' Star Effects software. It works with Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, and Topaz' own Studio,
which continues under development. The basic Studio software is currently free.

Hi all. I'd like to buy a star filter. My problem is I don't have a go-to lens. They vary from 18 to 300mm and all have different thread sizes. I tend to use my mid range zoom lenses most often but I don't know what kind of results I'd get. What do you use YOUR star filters on? I'm shooting with two crop sensor cameras, a Nikon and a Canon. Thanks for any help.

I can't help seeing the outline of a cartoon character in the upper left quadrant of the "winery" photo! Nice set.

I like the natural framing of number 3. Were you inside a tunnel?

Our color is just barely starting Here Quite late really, my Oak trees Didn't change at all but the leaves have fallen already. The color shown in my selections is from last year. No festivals here this year either, I'll try to get out and see what I can find, tomorrow when I'm off work. This Set was all taken at the Fall Festival in Norman, Ark. back in Sept. 2015.

I saw them for the first time a number of years ago. We were visiting relatives who lived on the Elk River in WV. They didn't know what they were,
but were calling them Chucks because they looked like a cross between a CHicken and a dUCK! I did some research when we got home to discover they were Muscovy ducks! quote=nimbushopper]Yes, every pond has them around here![/quote]

Are the real ones Muscovy ducks?

As I was driving by, a duck that I'd never seen before caught my eye. I grabbed my camera and shot him, being careful not to scare him off until I realized the joke was on me! So then I grabbed some other shots of others that are always present.

When I was in high school my neighbor's son had one just like that. (Except for the wheels, of course.) It was new.

This week conclude the car show season locally with two small shows. This unrestored original was the focal point for me of the smaller show.

Ladies, please don't be upset! It's largely a man thing!!

So, I went to the recent NASCAR race here at Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, VA. I always look for and watch the professional photographers, and as usual, I noticed the ones representing the major racing publications, etc. But there was one group that stood out, and it was a LOT of them. All were wearing light blue vests with Kodak on the back with an ID number of some sort. And noticeable to me was the variety of equipment. I saw them using Nikons, Canons, I think some other brands, the guy in the first photo below was using the on-camera flash, which I guess is OK but just seemed awkward to me to see a credentialed photographer shooting that way.
Any guesses on who these guys might be shooting for? And why a Kodak vest? I should have asked, and didn't, wish I had now. Because I want a Kodak vest to get in and shoot!
