My suggestion is Hoya or B&W.Aluminum rings can be a potential problem.
Thanks for the quick response. I have heard that before but I forgot about it.
I'm spending more time with taking pictures, with my D7200 with a Sigma 17-50mm f2,8 lens, of headstones and gravesites and I understand that a CPL polarizer filter may really help to minimize reflection. We're volunteering to do this for photo requests through the findagrave.com website. I believe that this model from Sirui is one of the most reasonably priced polarizer, but I don't know about the quality. Reviews, comments, suggestions all would be appreciated.
Thanks for sharing this important and very moving memory.
My wife and I signed up as volunteers with findagrave.com in 2016. We regularly get requests for photos and grave locations at numerous cemeteries in our NE Ohio area. Commonly the cemetery officials will give us the grave site location to "fulfill the request" from the contacting party. The process with findagrave.com is pretty straight forward and often the family or friends of the deceased party will send Thank you's. Its been rewarding and a learning experience. We also commonly clean up the headstone and the area around it to make a better photo for the site.
Welcome to the UHH Forum Berni. Good people, good information.

Thanks to all of the respondents to my request for information and opinions about the Tamron 150-600mm G2 vs the Nikon 200-500mm for my D7200. Your replies have been thoughtful, informative, helpful, and much appreciated. Now if only I could afford to get them both; along with the 500mm, I would have the perfect solution.
Again, thanks everyone.
I received a reply from Tamron on 6/22/2020:
Thank you ofr contacting Tamron USA. There is currently no firmware update for the F017 and the D7200 lens. Are you experiencing issues?
I wasn't having any issues. I just was following up on the lens.
I've been reading reviews until I could almost write one myself (but still can't decide on which one) for the Tamron 150-600mm 5-6.3 G2 vs. the Nikon 200-500 5.6 vr for my D7200 with MB-D15 battery grip.
Opinions, thoughts, experiences?
Thanks in advance.
Hi Tom,
Welcome to the forum. I'm certain that you'll enjoy participating on/in it.
I'm a former Marine and a retired Police detective from NE Ohio. I began to get more interested in photography while taking some elective Crime Scene photography courses while working on a Master Criminal Investigator certification program through the State of Ohio. Its been an interesting time, slowly learning about photography and realizing how much there is to learn and the potential $ if one isn't careful and wants to keep a happy home.
Enjoy the forum and the chance to learn from many vastly experienced folks who will, the majority of the time, offer unselfish help.
Regards,
Frank
Uploading five pictures from the 2018 Stan Hywet Car Show from Akron, OH. I'm looking for comments, criticisms, suggestions for improvements, and opinions to try PP on these and several other photos. Also, thoughts about posting them elsewhere for possible sales.
Thanks in advance,
Frank
Hi Dan,
Welcome to the UHH forum. I'm certain that you will have some great photo/memories to share.
This issue is probably solved by now-July 2020; but Wimberley recently introduced a monopod gimbal head MH-100. Steve Perry has a YouTube video demonstrating it. I bought one and it works very well. Not inexpensive, but well-designed. I think it's model #MH-100.
Starting and ending floats (I forgot them in the earlier post)
Pictures from the Parade and from the follow-up day close-ups of the same floats
My only issue with B&H is that every time I start thinking about some photographic-related item and go to their website they Always have it and I can't get away with "not finding it and then not buying it". Thanks B&H for having such a great inventory and being on top of all the details. Have a good and safe 4th-to B&H and UHH folks as well.
