Morris has a 2nd edition of his book only available on his website on a CD. I haven't read it but looking at his blog he is technically uncompromising and would likely be a good teacher in written form.

I have several Breakthru filters and they are especially great on customer service. Scratched one on a rock last summer, my fault, and they sent a replacement promptly at no charge.

excellent series. you must be really close to the guy to get this great detail without super-telephoto lenses.

#1 - good foreground, middle ground and background. don't mess with success. not sure i would have known the horse was an add-on if you hadn't mentioned it, but the scale and lack of shadowing under the horse are clues to it being a bit off.

at Rio Grande Nature Center in Albuquerque, NM
I wish the purple head on the mallard signified a new sub-species, but it seems to be only the play of light. Darn!

very nice. Hunters don't seem to mind a cloudy day when there are fish to be caught.

came across a pair nonchalantly walking around and picking up cheese cubes that someone had tossed. (This was not the parking lot at Acme Enterprises, by the way, which was closed.) I noticed they can lift the feathers on their crowns in an instantaneous hairdo change. Also noticed different markings behind the eyes, as you can see in these two shots.

these were all shot with a Nikon 200-500 on a D850 body. you can handhold it all day long (albeit not without an ache or two in shoulders and upper back).

Nice, especially the second one. What lens did you use? Birds are hard to shoot when in flight.
