Thank you dragon64. You're welcome. It's nice to get any raptor in flight.

Thanks JeffDavidson. Lately this owl comes around late and the lighting is poor. Last time I seen him it was after sunset and it went out to the ocean at Rye Harbor and flew back with a small duck in its talons. My ISO was high but my shutter speed was also high and photos came out too underexposed.

Thank you Gary. Keep looking. Probably hiding from the recent storm. Animals know before we do when storms are coming.

The photo on the rock had the setting sun shining on the owl. The sun then went in the clouds and the owl flew to the left. I PP in Lightroom but WB setting is the same.

Hello everyone. Seen the the Bald Eagle in NH. Was able to catch it flying high and free. The Snowy Owl was on the seacoast of NH. Just before flying to the pole it preened it's feathers and (pooed), and left a pellet on the rock (left side of Snowy Owl). It does those 3 things before its evening hunt most of the time. Hope you enjoy the photos. Enjoy!

Great captures Gary! Snowy Owls have been seen in Salisbury, MA and along the coast of NH in Hampton, NH and Rye, NH. They like rodents and birds. I've seen one last year at Parker River Animal refuge in Plum Island, MA with a Loon.

Very nice capture's jederick. In my experience with Bald Eagle's, they are near water areas when warm for the fish and when it's real cold near marsh areas for ducks. Sometimes you can find them at landfills also. They like to eat rodents and go after the birds that hangout there. Keep up the good captures. Enjoy!

I have a Gimbal head and started using it again. Been hand holding most of the time. Using a tripod and gimbal head with wireless remote has improved my photos.

Maybe it is time for a Gimbal head. You can use it either way still or let off the tension and track with it.
