The P-47 crashed and sank to the bottom of a lake in Austria. The pilot was rescued but the plane rested on the bottom of the lake for 60 years before it was salvaged and restored. It's first flight after restoration was in June 2017. I had not seen or photographed a P-47 until this past weekend. The plane, since restoration, has 30 hours flight time. For anyone interested in more detailed information google Dottie Mae, P-47 restoration.
OK, your comments and historical trivia piqued my interest so I bought a copy of the Foundation. Will start there.
I'm familiar with Issac Asamov but only somewhat familiar with his writings. I most look more closely and search for any emerging spacecraft. Thanks for the heads up.
My camera is a Nikon D500 with a Rokinon 16 mm f2.0 lens. The exposure was 15 seconds at 4000 ISO at f2.8
It is a single exposure of 15 seconds. I made the exposure Sat night in a very dark location in SW Idaho. There was, for all practical purpose, no light pollution in the area.
Thanks "Hot Texas" appreciate your comment.
Thanks David, I appreciate your clarification and comments.
HY David sounds like a good idea. What has been your experience with titanium prints? Do you recommend a good source for these prints?
Thanks for the clarification. The WF2 was a Navy radar early warning aircraft that flew off carriers back in the '60s.
Many photos taken of the Moulton barn in Grand Teton NP show the back side of the barn with the Grand Tetons as the backdrop. And why not? The scene is without question one of a kind. A few clouds can add interest to the reverse photo, looking east away from the Tetons at the front of the barn.
Is that WF as in Willy Fudd. I was in VAW-11
