Gorgeous- I have never seen one with so many stars in front of the Milky Way. It's not a composite- is it?
Lovely! Where were you, what camera, lens, exposure? Thanks!
It is a single exposure of 15 seconds. I made the exposure Sat night in a very dark location in SW Idaho. There was, for all practical purpose, no light pollution in the area.
My camera is a Nikon D500 with a Rokinon 16 mm f2.0 lens. The exposure was 15 seconds at 4000 ISO at f2.8
Outstanding. Ever read Issac Asamov's Foundation series? The Mule's invading spacecraft came right out of the core.
I'm familiar with Issac Asamov but only somewhat familiar with his writings. I most look more closely and search for any emerging spacecraft. Thanks for the heads up.

NASA would have been proud of that shot!
