Linary, thanks for the information. Will load the original next time. I will try what you said.
I have looked at so many tutorials, it's crazy that I can't find explicitly what I want. All I want to do is change the color in the baby's blanket to match a color in the spread out background blanket. Have used the eyedropper tool, have cut out the blanket with the quick selection tool, have used image-adjustments-match color and so on. All to no avail. I KNOW it has to do with using layers, but I'm a PS newbie. Also, the black line on the right hand side of the blanket- I need to know how to get rid of it. Finally, a good tutorial on how to add shadows at the top of the cap would be great. Even Lightroom would be great. I know I'm asking a lot, but the main thing I need help with is matching colors. All Youtube has, it seems, is matching colors between 2 images. I only have the one image to match. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
Thanks for working on this. Unfortunately, I already did those steps. It still won't work. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
Please help. I have worked on one image probably over 2 weeks, off and on. I have an image of a baby I want to put on a digital background. I have watched many tutorials and am doing just what the directions say, but the move tool won't work, at least it has worked a couple of times, so it is intermittent. Have used the quick selection tool, the rectangular marquee tool, lasso tool and they don't allow me to move the image into the new background. I can "place" the image but I can't place it if I have to cut out part of the baby. I tried resetting the tools and unclicking auto select, but it still will not move the image to the background. Am a PS newbie, so any help would be appreciated. I tried print screen on here so you can get a better idea of my settings, but it does not allow me to do so. Am attaching files. Thanks!
This question was for mtnman.
I didn't quite understand your answer. Would you mind explaining that again, please?
David, I have the Nikkor 70-200 mm lens. I probably would set 1600 as my highest limit. Thanks for your help.
Oh, brother, I knew that. I usually underexpose to try to get more data to edit with. And, I have done bracketing in order to do HDR. It's just been awhile. Thanks, everyone for your help.
Sorry, I'm a little of a newbie on some subjects. What's the difference between bracketing and exposure compensation? Aren't they the same?
Ahhh, yes, you are right. It was bracketing turned on. Thank you!
And that's what I realized. I had it set at exposure compensation and didn't mean to. That helps a lot. I had gone back and changed that. Thanks for all your help!!
I will definitely use shutter priority next time. It seems that 1/1000 sec wasn't fast enough to get it sharp. Should it have been faster?
Hi, I hope this is the right forum to ask questions. I'm attempting to start taking action shots but am a bit confused. I am including 3 shots. Please pay no attention to composition. I wasn't practicing that... only getting the dog sharp and not blurry.
I shot with a d750 and 80-200 Nikkor lens. ISO- 400, 116 mm, f3.5. My problem was that the shutter speed kept changing as I took pics in succession. The first pic-1/500sec, the second pic- 1/250 sec, the third pic- 1/1000 sec and the last pic- 1/500 sec.
Why did the shutter speed keep changing? What do I need to set differently in my camera? How do I set the minimum shutter speed? And can anyone tell me what I did wrong? Thanks
I wouldn't do it. Not a good idea.
