Since you DID post in the critique section, (even if you did get by with more than one image!), I'll make a comment or two. I do like the second image better than the first. I think your depth of field is better in the second one and she's more involved in the image than just having the hands. You use of selective colouring is very nice. I actually like the last image best. It shows creativity in having her hands on the flower and the colours are very good. Everything is quite sharp and really points to the crux of the matter - the nails.

Thank you AzPicLady ,

the main idea was to post in the critique section. Wasn't sure which one to pick out . Next time I will face this issue I will first put several on "For you Consideration" and then take the one for the critiques. :)
I'm pretty new to directing the subject to pose for me, in this case both her and hands. Since she wanted some good pictures for business , where the main idea is the nails, I had to try to be a little creative. There were not many suggestion I could work on. Being a rookie at this , I tried to have different approach both for her and the hands, and we can just pick the ones she likes best.
The album consist og pictures like the nr1 and 2 , but also creative just hands and nails like nr3. After I processed the pictures, I've fallen more for the more in focus pictures than the ones with swallow dof. Hence the thread in critique, where I am trying to convince myself and of course to hear from the pro here if I am on the right track.

School sucks, but I have no problem to learn and get constructive criticism here on UHH. Even if totally miss, I like to know when and what I could have done better. That's how I learn.

Thank you again for your evaluation , I appreciate it.

Tony,

There is nothing wrong with your computer.

The solution I use is to permanently "Map" a drive name to the device. I use Windows 7, but the process is similar on other versions.

Click on computer from the Start Menu
At the top, select Map Network Drive
Type in the new name (or drive letter), and make sure you select Reconnect at Logon, then finish.

The path will remain the same, regardless of what Windows "thinks" you want to do.

You can even do this for a folder - you can assign Drive L to your "My Lightroom Photos" folder

Tony ,
I think there must be a little misunderstanding, or maybe I am missing something.
it's about just an USB attached drive. Using the map network drive will require a shared folder somewhere on the network or on the USB drive it'self. USB drive will show as local drive. You can of course map a network drive from your computer to your computer, but whats the point when you see the drive already.

What I would suggest in order to make it easier for Windows and this USB drive is to use the last letter available. Windows will always try to use the first available letter, meaning there is a change that this D: drive change can happen again. If you connect something else and your USB drive is not connected, then your drive will most likely be assigned to the new device also. So try putting this USB drive on letter Z for example. Unless you are able to hook as many devices that you've used the whole alphabet, this Z letter should never change for your USB drive.

jaw drop as usual :)
Someday the truth will come out: Regis is actually an eagle dressed up as human, and all eagles are his friends from a modelling school and therefore never shy about the big lenses. :D

Please read the rules for the photo critique section, particularly #2. This discussion belongs in the "For Your Consideration" section.

Sorry about the mistake. Basically I forgot that on critique section was only one photo. I dont think I've posted to "For your consideration" before, and I shall get acquainted with :)

Hope admin can move it.

If any chance our paths should ever meet , I owe you a beer :)
Cheers

To my eye it looks much better when the owner of the nails is properly included in the shot (#2).

I think you are right, I did both shots intentionally so I could have both versions to chose from. After processing and seen on big screen, I was leaning more to that one. Felt more captivating

Thanks for commenting R.G

Interesting , and I have no idea , but curious on this thread.
I did not know that you need to register a copyright on pictures. I thought it was enough to mark them as long as I have the originals.
Does everybody who watermark a picture registered it as well somewhere ? Is it not enough if you have the originals and approach the user who used it ?

We've visited three zoos this year. One in Norway and two in Denmark. Two of them we've visited last year also , but new for this year was the Rain-forest Zoo in Denmark. This zoo is replicating the clima from South Americas rain-forest. And I can say I really felt it. Running around with 3 lenses in my bag, and my D750 attached to the 120-400mm was a stamina test. having in mind the humidity, you can imagine how easy is to sweat your pants off. Well I could not take my pants off, but I did managed to do some shots. We did not had much time here, only half a day, and lot's of the animals and creatures are free to walk where they want. The problem is that you also have to find them. I was hoping for some more creatures and snakes, but it was just a few to see.
All photos have exif data if curious.

enjoy

The jag did not go freely :D . He was inside an enclosure and had this netting around with so small mask it gave me a challenge to photograph him. I shall try to work on this photo in Photoshop.

this may not be the best , effort, but considering it was very dark, and not allowed to use the flash, I had to bump ISO up 12800 , and with a little retouch , i was like WOW.

Soon i will have to ask for VIP membership as it seems as my boys can't get enough of this park. This is the fourth year in a row I am visiting the park in Norway and the second year in Denmarks Lego Land. And by the looks they want to go there next year also. Please Lord, fill my pocket with money, those parks they suck the money from you without you knowing.

Anyway , I've posten some pictures last year, this year I'm just supplementing with some new Lego structures and figures.

Glad you enjoyed them Christina,

If gives me goosebumps seeing my niese in that shot. It brings back memories. I've seen many sunsets from this point. And now we are bringing the young generation to walk in our footsteps over these hils. You know she comes all the from Italy, every year to spend time here.
