The Osprey and salmon are now gone. I took many shots over a 3 to 4 week period. These were never posted before. The photos
are from 1 to 4 weeks ago.

Always hand held at 800mm at a distance of about 150 feet.

Canon 5Dsr - Canon 400 II DO f4 - Canon 2X III - 1/800 - f/14 - ISO @ 1250.

I'd be happy catching that size fish. Looks like a Sockeye. This darn bird has outdone me for sure. I've caught Pinks and Silvers but never a Sockeye. :-)

I wasn't aware you had any 'better' ones. I thought they were all 'best'.

Regis, this is exceptional. We're you on land when you took this?

jaw drop as usual :)
Someday the truth will come out: Regis is actually an eagle dressed up as human, and all eagles are his friends from a modelling school and therefore never shy about the big lenses. :D

This Sockeye (Kokanee) was rather large for this bird to get it out of the water and this Osprey was successful. However, some of these fish are too
heavy and the Osprey end-up dropping them.

Thank you very much, bobsisk.

Yes, but only about 5 feet from the edge of this lake.

Thank you very much, RickL.

In my humble opinion, some of my best shots are better than my other best ones. Just my personal opinion.

Thank you very much, John N.
