HotTex or whoever you are. How about posting one of your pics that does not look like a measles epidemic !
Beautiful place. Beautiful pictures.
I think he is just giving the other frog a ride to other side of pond !
My Blue Jay did something new. I raised the feeders height to keep squirrels out. The Blue Jay would fly in hard and shake the feeders without landing knocking out seeds to the happiness of the squirrels below.
Thanks Steve for your informative books. I purchased the Secrets/AF book and also downloaded your BBAF supplement last night even though I already had it in book. I was previously thinking I should leave my D500 on AF-C all the time when using BBAF and when your BBAF addition said to use AF-C on moving subjects and AF-S on stationary objects. Could you help me understand. Thanks Steve
What helped me: I was shooting about 1/500 shutter with 18-300 Nikon lens on my D500 and got lots soft pics. then I read somewhere about trying 1/4000 shutter speed and auto iso. For first time I got sharp pics and had lots more keepers. Of course I paid for it with high ISO and noise. But it made my D500 lots more fun and I realized I have a problem with camera shake.
Talking about better glass. My D500 was not producing the sharp pictures I wanted. When I went from shooting 1/500 to 1/4000, my pictures
have gone to a level of sharpness I had never seen. Could it have been my senior shaky hands, probably ! However, I have found happiness with my D500.
For a first this morning, a crow swooped down about 20 yards from me for a small bird but he got away !

Pika is new to me and googling it was very interesting. They live in cooler climate on mountains generally and cannot survive living in a hot climate for over a few hours. Global warming is driving them higher on mountains and global warming can be gauged by watching the Pika's go higher on the mountain. Really loved the pics and learning about Pika's.
Those pics are outstanding. I struggle with my D500 to get sharp pics due to camera shake. Would love to make pics like that.
My favorite bird, a bird of the Bible.
Fantastic pics, up close and personal.
