"I know I am probably the only one in America who sees it that way" Definitely! It's about the popular music figures and events of the day, and the plane crash that killed three popular performers on Feb 3, 1959.

When someone asked the author what the song meant, he said, "It means I'll never have to work again."

Unfortunately, it is not easy to play on the uke.

This is a very good video of the song. When you can see all the lyrics, I find it is way more than a catchy tune. I often wondered if the "drove my chevy..." refrain was about a possible suicide but failed becasue the "levee was dry."
Thanks for posting the link.

When a photo, taken by 'someone else' is casually viewed, I suspect the viewer introduces subjective elements in deciding if a photo is over procesed. But consider two images of the same scene, both with minimal processing where the first image is shot in a golden hour period and the second image is shot at noon. Certainly, the first image will appear over saturated in comparison, but is accurate to the light at the time it was shot.

I would also guess that two people with equal post processing skills given a raw file would process the image and it would look different when both were finished with their work.

If a person finds images they don't like, pass it by and move on.

I am thinking about converting one of my EM1 MKII bodies to infrared. I have reviewed the information on the Life Pixel site which is very good. I thought it would be helpful to get some input here. I am primarily interested in strong black & white images (720 infrared, if I understand correctly) but going with a 570 conversion and adding a lense filter would give more options.

Actual experience comments would be appreciated.

Seabeck is the place to go for good bald eagle action in May and June. Low tide is the best time to be there, and better yet to be there 60-90 minutes before low tide and shoot as the tide goes out. A small fish, Midshipman, is spawning at this time. They get trapped in the tide pools and the eagles feast on them.

Hop on I-5 and go south through Tacoma and past Bremerton towards Silverdale. Drive time is probably 1.5 hours from downtown Seattle but well worth the drive.

Very good.

I am noticing along the local walking trail that some folks are bagging the dog poop and then leaving the baggie along side the trail. I find this more annoying than folks not scooping at all.

My wife and a friend went in May 2023. I just asked her about her experience and she just spent several minutes raving about the show and the experience of seeing it. She would go again!

Interesting to see the results reported in the OP and follow up comments. Sony appears to be strong...In the results in the OP, how much does the store staff influence the customers purchase decision. Does this skew the data?

Check out Matt Schetzer's web site. He had just started using the Sony A1 in 2021 when I did an Eagle Trip to Haines, Alaska with him. I was amazed at his eagle shots in low light with the A1.

I would recommend eliminating the Nude photography and bedroom section before the ChitChat section. Chit chat at times is informative, comical, and informative.
The nude section is offensive to me and does not exemplify the purpose, character and integrity of Ugly Hedgehog

Just don't look at it then. This is an easy solution.

Great video Mike. I skied many wonderful days at Alta and Snowbird and Brighton and Park City during my college years at Utah in the late '60-early '70s. Still remember them fondly. I was never good enough to ski the really deep stuff like in the video.

It is a beautiful spot to enjoy both winter and year around.

I would add a day to drive the loop through Mt. Rainier NP. It will be a fairly long day o driving, but well worth it.

If you are thinking about time in Seattle, a visit to the Pike Place Market and also the Seattle Center and Space Needle are great. Also the Museum of Flight about 15 minutes from Downtown is another very good place to spend some time. And about 45 east of Seattle on I-90 is Snoqualmie Falls, which will be past peak runoff in July but still worthwhile.

Have a great time in Olympic NP on your photoworkshop.
