Bill, all of your photos are so spectacular!!! Thanks for sharing your photo and also your camera, lens, and settings. All that information helps so much. I was just looking at ordering a D500 for grandchildren sports and wildlife. I have a D7100 and trying to decide if I really need a D500. Your photo is convincing me!

So fabulous.... I couldn't wait to show my husband who loves any fox. He couldn't believe your photos. They are so crystal clear and your captures are amazing. Would you mind sharing what camera and lens you used. I know it is the photographer who makes the photo, but maybe your camera and lens might help me. We have a resident fox near our lakehouse, but I have never come close to taking a photo like any of yours. Thanks for sharing.

I so appreciate your letting me know, but I have just decided at my age…almost 80.. I need a much smaller camera. With that few shutter counts I’m sure you will have no trouble selling it on UHH. FYI…I have been looking on KEH and they are selling at $959.91, 1152.56 and 1189.92. I am still dreaming about that camera, but it is not the right choice for me now. Thank you. ~ Lauretta

This has been so great hearing your encouraging words. I’ve been busy with a project for work and finally got to practice our craft. 😃

I’m attaching the T2i camera using 55-250mm kit lens info and can add that I took a few steps up a path to get closer to him. I first used pixel Fixer to repair all the dead pixels then DPP4, Photoshop CS3, and RawTherapee. No flash was used as the afternoon sun was just right plus some dodge and burn.

The rabbit had an interesting processing twist. While adding saturation, the critter got ugly and had to be desaturated through a mask. This is the opposite of what I’ve learned about drawing attention to the subject through brightness, sharpness and saturation.

Thank you so much for this information. It is very inspiring to know that you can take such outstanding photos without using a multi thousand dollar camera and lens.

I nearly always like color better than black and white….but not in this case. I love your b&w photo. It is fantastic.

I've been watching camera reviews and comparisons on YouTube, and I have to be careful. The new cameras sound so good! I especially like comparisons because they point out specific differences between two cameras. So far, I have resisted the urge to buy anything. I still use my D750, Sony a6000, and Fuji X-T30. So far, so good. Unless I find a good excuse to buy something new, I think I'll be safe.

Jerry,
I always respect your research and opinion. After your comparisons which camera would you want buy. I will be 80 next year and “need” a new camera!
