No... what happens was I Charged up the Battery & was putting it in, I had the Camera in the Case, but I forgot to Zip it Up & when I Put it on the Edge of my Bed, it Fell out of the Case.

I put the Battery in & Tested out the Selectors, when I went to Zoom, it was Out of Focus & Zoomed to the Tele Part & it Stuck, it Said Lens Error, it would Shut Down to Reset & Nothing Happened!

So it's Sitting in my Drawer, I'm Going to Buy a Lumix as a Replacement until I get a D.S.L.R. but I'm Still going to keep or Replace the SX50, I will look on E Bay to see what's out there.

Its a Bridge Camera that came out in 2011 or 12, People Who Owned the SX50 Said it was the Best Built Bridge Camera Canon Made.

I don't know what Year you came aboard the UHH Ship? but People who Owned it like me Raved about the SX50.

Thank you for the Other Matter.

I Accidentally let my ZX50 Fall to the Floor while I was Putting the Charged Up Battery in.

I Tested the Camera & the Zoom Died, as well as the Camera, it said it was Shutting Off, to Reset it, but I Can't & Canon won't Repair it cause it's 9 Years Old & the Stories I've heard from UHH Posters that Canon won't Repair the ZX50 due to lack of Parts & Other B.S.

So Again...is their An Indie Repair Center that will Fix my SX50, Still I'm Buying another Bridge, Either A Nikon P1000, or Lumix, but I'd like to Keep the SX50 Going if there's an Indie to Repair it?

Anybody who has had issues with their SX50 & Had Problems & got theirs Serviced by An Indie Repair let me Know?

Focus on the Strip & Downtown Vegas & the Double Deck RTC Busses (The Deuce) & in the Hotel/Casinos, but not at the Game Tables, Management is kind of Touchy about Photography & Video Taping at or around the Tables.

There's more but others with Recommend to you.

It's been a Problem for maybe the last 10 years, or more these Brazen Thugs are hitting Camera Stores & Jacking Photographers for their Hi-End Cameras, because South American Countries can't get what they want in their Countries, so they go Outside the Country to get Hi-End Cameras & Hire Brazen Thugs to Steal them.

Here in Southern California... Thieves have Busted in Several Camera Stores Like Silvo's & Samy's to Snatch Professional Nikons & Canon Body & Lenses so they can End up in South America on the Black Market.

I ask myself what the Hell do these South American Countries want with these Hi-End Nikon's & Canon's & other Pro Cameras?

My 1st Bought 35mm was a Pentax Point & Shoot in April of 83, it was a "Dud!"

Spent around $170 Dollars at Ritz Camera for the Camera & Motor Drive, which was Seperate.

When I 1st Started Using the Pentax, which was on Friday, April 15th in 1983, it was Bad Results.

Half The Photos were Blurry or Fuzzy, Part of the Reason was the Detachable Motor Drive, did not work too well with the Camera, it wasn't because it was Broken, or not Functioning, it was a Lemon by Pentax, the main Camera did Work & Somewhat Focused a Little Better, the Camera to me was a Damn Joke, my Olympus XA 2 Pocket Camera was more Better that was given to me around Thanksgiving 81.

I Never Bought a Pocket Pentax Ever Again, only the SLR Models (A3000 & SF-1N) & they Performed Better.

Also many new cameras, phone and regular, have HDR set as the default and novices don’t even know they’re doing it.

I have it on my Canon SX 50 & my Lumix DC-ZS70, I have to Keep it Turned off on my Lumix because Other Features won't work if my HDR is on.

Your interaction with others continue... Going down... Down... The drain.

You see when you try to create an issue, you better show you are right because if folks like me may not have your memory for 'imaginary wrongs' they have the resource of looking back to learn what justifies or not the outburst.

In this case, in my opinion you just show your dire need for help.

Oh, one more thing... Did you read any insult in my answer you are referring to???

To other readers... Sorry but sometime some folks need to be reminded of their own actions.

Your answer is way out of line. Quite frankly it is so emotional I question why...

I use personal observations, not generalities. Yes, some folks consult their albums from time to time, few if you are honest. Yes, some folks years later will come back for more.

One does not prevent the other. Memories do not last long. While pictures last longer there is no one to look at them.

If memories were so important while preserved as images, why are historic events completely ignored or simply denied?

We are not learning from anything, so why are you so sure that you can castigate anyone for something that is true? Because you think it is a personal attack against you as a pro?

Just take another example such as vacation pictures. What is the point of that? Folks live their vacation behind the camera and snap hundred of images and bore living **** out of everyone showing them while saying how good it was to be there when they return... Just to have the same pictures completely ignored for the rest of their lives?

What is disgusting about stating the truth? The idea that we live short lives, have short selective memories and forget almost everything? The idea that photographs do not mean jack in the scope of things? Or is it the idea that being cold and analytic about this is reprehensible for you?

The idea that I question the ethics of being a wedding photographer? I do not. I was one. If you read carefully, I question those who posted in another thread that 'ethics' are paramount in their business practice (fair pricing for all). These folks are simply deluded about their craft. In the same thread I described photographers as mercenaries, hired hands because this is what we are, were.

You hate seeing yourself as being ephemeral as a pro like everyone else?

Sorry, as mentioned once those who care about you die, so will the memories of you, good or bad. Just another pile of dust. The same goes for me, don't worry, I am not claiming otherwise. I am just honest about it.

And, oh, I have been married twice. My first wife was killed by a drunk driver. My second wife is alive, doing well and we plan to stay married since 1983. So... Wedding/Marriage hater? Riiiiiiight.
Your answer is way out of line. Quite frankly it ... (show quote)
