Thanks. That's the one gathering dust in my closet Lots of unpopped, and partly popped. Maybe the type of popcorn used? I only tried with Bob's Red Mill WHITE.

I have been using Orville Redenbacher's "Original". Maybe one or two unpopped when done... I just pour a measure of corn in, put measure back in place and turn 'er on. Maybe type of corn DOES matter... I store mine in a cabinet under the counter which means room temp and dark...

...as I told Linda, I bought a Pop-Lite from Amazon and am quite satisfied. You need a tall enough bowl, but other than that, easy-peasy.

Is that on the second story of the building or around to the back? There doesn't seem to be any window casing so I'm wondering if it might not be a overly large opening for a pigeon coop, or, if on the first floor, maybe there was a ramp up for chickens to use. It would explain the small roof to keep the rain out and to provide shade for the opening.

In the interest of not using so much oil, I have been using a hot air popper for the last couple of years (even bought them as Christmas gifts because it liked mine so much). Almost all kernels pop and you can use some butter-flavored spray and popcorn flavorings if you must. The unit does come with a "butter melter" which serves as a measuring device. fill the device and pour into the popper. Put the device in the top cover and put some butter in if you want. The corn pops, the butter melts at the same time. And, there's no messy pan or pot to clean, just the container for the popped corn.

dry, fluffed up and mad as hell! Would you take the chance of opening if you knew there's a cat inside?!?!?

...and the grounds crew has already swept and mowed the practice green. Growing up, I played at a golf course that "required" the first group out to use long, long pieces of bamboo (likely some kind of fiberglass today) to 'sweep' the greens of dew as they played. The sweeps would 'break up' the drops of dew, allowing the greens to dry much sooner than the rest of the course... The greens were not mowed until later in the day so the sweeping was required.

Sections of Old Mine Road are in pretty poor condition which require careful driving at slow speeds.

Which is why the section between Worthington State Forest (next to I-80) and Millbrook Village is the section being closed. Still open is the road to Blairstown and Old Mine Road to the north of Millbrook.

Millbrook is in the Delaware Water Gap national park and full of great shots. In the summer months, several of the buildings are open with volunteers in costumes on several occasions. A great place to get "lost in time" for an hour or two taking pictures. As an aside, one of the entry roads to Millbrook (Old Mine Road) will be closing down for much of the spring and summer soon for repairs. OMR is supposedly the oldest commercial road in the U.S. and was used by the colonial Dutch to cart ore from some of the mines up to Poughkeepsie.

It was another comment concerning that Bridge catastrophe. I simply followed that lead and included it in the same section. Mine had a photo and his did not. I suppose that was the difference.

NOPE... you were simply the victim of the "category police" on this site, those with nothing better to do than put down someone (like you) who is simply sharing a sentiment via a photo... I happen to like the post and reminding us all of that "stuff happens".
