Quick related question: would there be a problem keeping my full backup drive in my car? I live in a Philadelphia PA suburb & we have "normal" 4 seasons. Thanks!
She's holding her 12 step pamphlet.
The 5 Satins....classic do-wop!
My 2 cents...been Nikon since 1967. Wedding photographer for 40+ years. Once I switched from 2 1\4 Hassy & Rollie to digital I went back to Nikon. Bought a Sigma 17-50 2.8 because of price. Pictures were fine until I focused the Sigma at a wedding and it came aprt in my hand. Just sayin'....my experience. Sigma offered to sell me a new lens when I retuned it for repair. Nikon good - Sigma bad :(
As a veteran of more than 600 jewish weddings.....well done!
I used it to photograph 500+ events as my primary choice. I feel that this lens, coupled with the slightly more flattering CCD sensor, gave me more flattering portraits and candids than my more "crisp" CMOS Nikons. Other than some enhancing post production retouching was hard!ly ever needed. 16×20's no problem.
I look at the photographs of the old masters using "primitive" equipment and, after 50 years of all of the formats from Polaroid to Hassy I enjoy making 16x20's from my tiny sensor Lumix with the incredible Leica lens. Just havin' fun!
Well done! Here's my 2 cents... I would have tilted her head up just a bit so you could shoot into the point of her nose. This sublty brings more attention to her eyes. When I see her I see her nose first. This trick was taught to me by Monte Zucker, who revolutionized wedding photography.
As a now retired wedding and portrait photographer for 45 years I have photographed models and international movie and singing stars but none more beautiful than your daughter.
If he didn't buy because of the price would that behis cane mutiny?
Those Bali steps are really high!!! (Get it?)
Very interesting. Thank you. What is SPE?
Recently retired after a 40 year wedding career. I discovered early on the if you are high priced your customer makes sure you are allowed to do your work uninterupted by guests. Of course you work has to be A+. In my opinion if today's amateur pictures are "good enough" then you need to distinguish yourself from the "snappers" and presell a package that makes it worth you talent and effort. My best customer spent $53k in 1986 and thanked me for accepting her as one of my brides. If the customer hires you because of your talent, not price, you are in the driver's seat!
